JOB SUMMARY

The Dispensary Manager of Sunnyside* Phoenixville, PA is responsible for day-to-day team leadership and delivering a profitable business which supports Cresco Labs’ mission to normalize, professionalize and revolutionize the cannabis industry. You will ensure the dispensary achieves or exceeds all key metrics and goals across all aspects of the dispensary including customer acquisition and loyalty, merchandising, operations, and talent development. This role will serve as the link between the Sunnyside* brand vision of providing access to consistent high-quality cannabis and cannabis knowledge and the operations of the store.

CORE JOB DUTIES

People Management:

• Build and sustain a high-performing team through employee selection, onboarding, coaching and clear accountability for results.

• Conduct at least monthly 1:1 quality conversations with each assistant manager and quarterly 1:1s with each store employee.

• Assess team performance, skill gaps, and career aspirations of employees; solicit or provide resources, trainings or procedures to support team needs.

• Analyze and determine effective headcount requirements and labor schedules that account for store sales trends, department objectives and labor laws.

• Motivate and inspire dispensary team to exceed revenue targets and KPIs, with an emphasis on selling and cross-selling techniques.

• Partner with Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues.

• Ensure employees are knowledgeable and coached to navigate any regulatory changes.

• Ensure a clean and safe environment for employees and customers

Sales & Operational Excellence:

• Provide regular updates, feedback, and solutions to corporate retail leadership across all areas of dispensary operations.

• Establish and nurture key business partner relationships across Human Resources, Outreach, Compliance, Security, Employees Health & Safety, Marketing, Construction and IT.

• Drive profitable sales through forecasting, scheduling, outstanding customer service and execution of programs and initiatives.

• Identify business and competitor risks; analyze metrics to help increase market share.

• Support outreach efforts/community partnerships to build a positive image within the community, drive brand awareness, and draw new patients.

• Establish daily operations procedures with an eye towards improvement and efficiency.

• Oversee inventory activities ensuring product requirements are met and deliveries are on time.

• Maintain accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, guest records, sales, deliveries and returns.

• Perform monthly audit reporting and store visit checklist with Area Manager.

• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, state, and local laws.

• Serve as point of contact for state regulators and local authorities, overseeing any inspections or audits

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in business or comparable experience

• 5-7 years of retail management experience required; Cannabis knowledge or dispensary leadership experience a plus

• Experience managing teams of 10 or more with layers of leadership, preferably in a high-volume location with a focus on team development.

• Demonstrated ability to learn, apply and teach others technical, product-related information in a professional consultative manner.

• Experience working closely with HR teams and processes.

• A high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency

• Proficient in MS Office, Highly Proficient in MS Excel with experience in data entry and data management

• Strong business acumen including excellent communication, attention to detail and interpersonal skills

The KAM will be a strong influencer both internally and externally with the ability to communicate clearly and possess a customer first mindset with a drive to win and a sense of urgency to compete in the fast-moving Cannabis market.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>• Manage all Key Accounts as assigned Establish TerrAscend as a first-choice partner with all Key Accounts.</p><p>• Customer base includes a mix of Multi-Store Private Retailers, Provincial and National Chains as well as Provincial Cannabis Boards.</p><p>• In conjunction with the Director of Sales, you will develop strategic and tactical customer plans for all assigned Key Accounts.</p><p>• Identify new distribution opportunities and build productive Partnerships that maximize profitable share and volume through distribution, visibility, and service.</p><p>• Present and secure new listings with the Provincial Cannabis Board Product and Category Managers.</p><p>• Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of Customer action plans and take corrective action as needed.</p><p>• Partner with internal stakeholders for post-evaluation of executed plans and strategies.</p><p>• Partner with Trade Marketing to synergize National programs with all assigned Key Accounts.</p><p>• Execute Marketing Initiatives and leverage them to drive consumer loyalty and sales.</p><p>• Actively manage Pricing consistency across Key Accounts to ensure that our brands have similar Pricing dynamics nationally.</p><p>• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Key Account cross-functional stakeholders - Retail Operations, Marketing, Buying, and Accounting.</p><p>• Work collaboratively with Agent Sales Teams to effectively lead Industry and Brand education sessions with key customers.</p><p>• Gather and communicate market intelligence to customer and TerrAscend.</p><p>• Leverage consumer and customer insights to develop competitive advantage with customers.</p><p>• Collaborate and Assist Supply Chain teams with forecasting of regular and new listings.</p><p>• Other duties as required.</p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>• University Degree or equivalent work experience.</p><p>• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Key Account Role with a proven track record in delivering growth objectives, infield sales agent management, and critical KPIs.</p><p>• You love a challenge.</p><p>• You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.</p><p>• You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy</p><p>• You are confident and competent.</p><p>• You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business.</p><p>• Strong time management and organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.</p><p>• Previous success in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.</p><p>• Ability to work independently with little supervision - Self-Motivated with a Drive for Results.</p><p>• Strong analytical skills, with a passion to sort through complex data to find creative business solutions.</p><p>• Technologically savvy with the latest computer and data tools, who is comfortable working in a data driven environment.</p><p>• Travel required - Must have a valid driver's license, and clean drivers abstract.</p><p>Note: The chosen applicant will be required to successfully complete criminal and reference check.</p><p>TerrAscend thanks all candidates for their interest; however, only those selected to continue in the process will be contacted.</p><p>TerrAscend is a supporter of AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act).
