Kind Goods is led by a passionate and creative team of Missouri based entrepreneurs working in conjunction with a group of nationally recognized cannabis cultivation, processing, and retail experts. Kind Goods has been awarded licensing to operate three dispensaries. We aim to provide the highest quality medical marijuana and related manufactured/edible products at our retail dispensaries in the St. Louis, MO region.

We are looking for Director of Retail Operations to oversee operations of all dispensary locations in the St. Louis area and is responsible for the overall success of the retail locations. The Direct of Retail Operations will implement the overall operational strategy for Kind Goods retail locations. They will implement operational policies and procedures and operational strategies to drive the productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction of all locations.

In this role you will….

  • Manage and oversee all dispensary locations.
  • Develop, implement, review, and monitor the retail operating plan and budget for all retail locations.
  • Grow sales profit and motivate Store Managers and staff to achieve the same goal.
  • Develop and grow a customer focused operation by being aware and accounting for competition, retail sector trends and current opportunities.
  • Maintain, seek, utilize, and analyze management information data to manage performance, seize opportunities, and make informed management decisions.
  • Take approximate action as required to reach and maintain retail budgeted sales and develop and drive the business.
  • Oversee retail functions including, but not limited to product assortment and strategy, space planning, shelf merchandising, promotions, inventory management, store audits, and order replenishment.
  • Responsible for maximizing profitability and controlling operating costs.
  • Create and implement merchandising programs for stores to follow.
  • Oversee hiring initiatives for the retail locations.
  • Ensure all dispensary locations are efficiently and effectively managed, by visiting stores regularly and monitoring their compliance with policy, procedure, and standards.
  • Stay current and adhere to all federal, state, city, and county regulations.
  • All other tasks and job duties as assigned.

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the cannabis industry and the associated federal, state, and local municipal laws and regulations.
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work with a diverse clientele and staff.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be a team player.
  • Qualified applications have an aptitude for comprehending compliance and the ability to adhere to a regulatory framework.

This includes the direct capture of business priorities, business use case, ROI and the development and oversight of all DevOps progress and reporting out of same.</p><p>• Oversee IT technical resources the capacity planning to ensure that capable resources are available when required.</p><p>• Accountable for the implementation and continuous improvement of all IS Services to internal customers, ensuring the appropriateness, timeliness and quality of the services provided by IS to the corporate initiatives and business owners.</p><p>• Ensure IT outcomes are clearly defined and implemented.</p><p>• Interface with internal key stakeholders, ensuring strong understanding of systems, functional requirements and enterprise-wide infrastructure.</p><p>• Oversee all infrastructure, hardware, security, software and managed services selection, agreements and teams associated with executing to plan.</p><p>• Implement ideas to deliver more value through IT services and processes including improving quality or reducing the cost of delivering services along with the other members of the IT management team.</p><p>• Design, implement and support a robust IT controls framework to address business risks and regulatory requirements</p><p>• Ensure risk &amp; compliance requirements are met (i.e. design and operating effectiveness of IT general controls), including change management, security &amp; logical access, quarterly sub-certification, and participating in annual ITGC audit</p><p>• Provide primary support for all business software systems</p><p>• Maintain and enhance the Business Intelligence Systems to provide better information for business decisions</p><p>• Participate in the implementation of new systems (IT lead) and provide guidance to IT partners and other staff within the organization</p><p>• Provide on-going training and awareness to all staff so they may leverage productivity and efficiencies from IT tools and technology</p><p>• Provide recommendations / alternatives for delivering on the corporate initiative priorities.</p><p>• Establish and maintain effective relationships with key business leaders to better understand their needs and expectations.</p><p>Leadership</p><p>• Ensure effective utilization of staff, including a buffer workforce, to meet project priorities/scale, service levels and work requirements, as well as establish and maintain regular operational performance reporting.</p><p>• Ensure that the IT and Business Applications team has the necessary motivation, tools and skills to manage production in a highly available global environment.</p><p>• Coach and mentor team, provides guidance in the resolution of critical issues that may impact established service levels or service expectations</p><p>• Provide coverage during Help Desk regular hours of operations and on call coverage for after-hours support, for both peak and normal period</p><p><b>Knowledge and Skills:</b></p><p>• Extensive experience and direct exposure to Point of Sale (POS) systems</p><p>• Experience with ERP and financial systems and processes</p><p>• Experience managing a multi-disciplinary IT group, including work planning, performance management, and business alignment of IT objectives</p><p>• Experience with Microsoft O365 and SharePoint Online Administration</p><p>• Azure AD Administration</p><p>• Experience supporting IT with remote/satellite locations</p><p>• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload while ensuring quality of service</p><p>• Ability to collaborate in a cross functional environment</p><p>• Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills</p><p>• Strong organization and time management skills, and able to work under pressure</p><p>• Experience and/or knowledge of current technologies available and ability to align with corporate objectives</p><p>• Ability to communicate IT systems clearly to non-technical individuals</p><p>• Experiences with IT operating and capital budgets</p><p>• Ability to create IT business cases, include full ROI and TCO analysis</p><p>• Strong interpersonal, customer service, communication and leadership skills</p><p><b>Education, Training, and Experience:</b></p><p>• Degree or Diploma in Computer &amp; Information Systems</p><p>• Point of Sale (POS) COVA experience a definite asset</p><p>• Minimum of 10 years of IT experience in progressively increasing IT management roles</p><p>• Retail environment</p><p>• IT background across multiple disciplines included infrastructure and business applications</p><p><b>Core Competencies:</b></p><p>• Business Case Development</p><p>• Process Improvement</p><p>• Planning</p><p>• Budgeting</p><p>• Troubleshooting</p><p>• Project Management</p><p>• Change Management</p><p>• Attention to detail</p><p>• Strategic IT Planning</p><p><b>Working Conditions:</b></p><p>• Office work – be mindful and kind to your body as you are sitting or standing for long periods.
