What you will do

We are hiring an energetic and flexible Packaging Technician Lead to join our growing dynamic team! The Packaging Technician Lead will be responsible for the coordination of packaging techs in bucking plants and trimming flower for sale, final packaging flower, pre-roll production, and coordinating with the Cultivation Manager and General Manager on production schedules. This role reports directly to the Production Manager.

Highlighted Responsibilities

  • Maintain record keeping for harvested flower material
  • Work with the Cultivation Manager in overseeing the bucking of harvests. trimming of flower, and pre-roll production
  • Communication with the Cultivation Manager on required seed to sale system updates as material is processed
  • Update the seed to sale system as requested by the Cultivation Manager
  • Maintain chain of custody logs for the trimming room
  • Oversee product quality, and inform the Cultivation Manager of any observed defects due to processing techniques, cultivation output, or other factors
  • Manage the curing process to the Cultivation Manager's specifications
  • Maintain Curing Room logs
  • Maintain Curing Material labeling to ensure accuracy of inventory management
  • Oversee the quality of work by the other Packaging Techs. Assist in training and retraining of Packaging Techs as required to maintain optimal product quality while meeting productivity goals
  • Perform other duties as listed in the Packaging Tech job description as required
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 years experience working in regulated environment with automated or semi-automated equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (i.e. Excel, Word) and other cloud-based data collection software.

Physical Demands: Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.

Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting scientific and packaging equipment.

Work Environment: The job is performed indoors in a traditional laboratory setting. Exposure to chemicals and laboratory agents is expected. Protective safety clothing, goggles, gloves, face masks, or hat are required as needed. Must be able to adhere to clean room protocol in designated area. Activities include extended periods of sitting or standing and extensive work using laboratory and packaging equipment and machinery.

While their primary responsibility is ensuring the operations and maintenance of company manufacturing equipment and the cleanliness of the manufacturing facility, they will also assist with deliveries, harvests and packaging. We are looking for someone with great communication, organization and mechanical skills to lead this role. You will be expected to work in a variety of settings including outdoors, in delivery vehicles and in sterile labs and greenhouses. This position occasionally will require long hours on the road, traveling between Etain LLC locations for deliveries and pickups. Driving proficiency is required. The Facilities Technician is required to be on call during some nights, holidays, and weekends to provide assistance for alarms in Automated Logic, Link 4 or maintenance repairs. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.</p><p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><p>Facilities Technician tasks include, but are not limited to the following list.
