What you will do

We are currently seeking an energetic and flexible Patient Care Coordinator Full Time to join our growing talented team! The Patient Care Coordinator will be customer facing having the opportunity to interact with qualified medical cannabis patients around the state of New York. This position reports directly to the Director of Patient Services.

Highlighted Responsibilities

  • Completes dispensary operational requirements by maintaining an organized workflow
  • Maintains vigilance for patient medication safety
  • Assists patients and families through the dispensary process
  • Provides information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and patients
  • Complies with state law and regulations
  • Participates in record-keeping and reporting necessary for State compliance
  • Adheres to infection-control standards such as hand washing
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Protects patient safety regarding cannabis medication use
  • Help patients determine the best treatment course under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
  • Provides exceptional customer service to medical cannabis patients
  • Maintains cash register and accountability for assigned drawer
  • Completes opening/closing procedures
  • Utilizes computer systems appropriately for daily operations
  • Receives incoming orders, shipments, and deliveries
  • Schedules appointments, assists with refilling orders and creating new patient orders/sales
  • Utilizes different software applications to set up patient appointments, refills, and home deliveries
  • Responds to all patient inquiries via phone, email or other methods of communication as assigned.
  • Performs dispensary maintenance/cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Attends staff meetings, continuing education, training, etc. as directed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in both clinical and retail settings
  • Demonstrated experience and impeccable interpersonal skills involved in the service industry and able to apply these to a patient population with debilitating illness
  • Experience in record keeping preferred
  • Experience as a receptionist or office manager is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

For more information about our company, please visit</p><p><b>Job Description</b></p><p>Under the supervision of the Pharmacist General Manager, the Patient Care Representative (PCR) will assist the general manager and assistant general manager in all administrative, clinical and operational functions within a fast-paced clinically-oriented, environment. The PCR will educate patients/caregivers on medical marijuana products under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The PCR will promote a work environment that is positive, patient service-oriented and compliant within the guidelines of the state and company. The ideal candidate should be passionate about their role and have a strong willingness to help people become educated about medical cannabis.</p><p>Duties and responsibilities or (Essential Functions)</p><p>• Assist pharmacist manager in filling practitioner recommendations, and filing state required documentation based on Compassionate Care Act guidelines.</p><p>• Electronically file documents into member file folders, set up files for new members, and audit files to ensure that information is accurately filed.</p><p>• Perform the timely triage of documents and steam-line tasks appropriately to the Pharmacists.</p><p>• Answer phone calls from patients, schedule appointments, and any other functions necessary for Dispensary operations.</p><p>• Process recommendations for patients under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.</p><p>• Prepare and provide support in all (onsite and desk) audit activities related to Dispensary Unit.</p><p>• Assist in education and ringing out of patients.</p><p>• Accountable for accurately utilizing PharmaCann's Point of Sale system.</p><p>• Assist in the check in process in the Dispensary.</p><p>• Provides outstanding patient service.</p><p>• Inspire patient confidence and create patient loyalty.</p><p>• Develop knowledge of various products and the NYS Medical Marijuana Program and Federal law regarding medical cannabis.</p><p>• Execute PharmaCann's dispensary protocols including safety protocols.</p><p>• Complies with all security and legal requirements.</p><p>• Act as a safety officer.</p><p>• Ensure the store is well maintained.</p><p>• Exceptional people skills.</p><p>• Back up Courier and OSS roles as required. Couriers are required to hold a current driver license and maintain a good driving record.</p><p>• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.</p><p>• Strong Computer based skills.</p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>• Compassionate and strong work ethic</p><p>• A high school diploma or higher and 2+ years of work experience.
