Position Overview:

Cronos Group is seeking a Corporate Events Coordinator who will work within the Corporate Communications Department and report to the Corporate Communications Manager. As the Corporate Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading the efforts for all in-house and external corporate events, which includes (but not limited to) lunch and learns, office lunches, team-building activities, social and charity events company celebrations and parties. Your responsibilities will be ever-changing, but what remains unchanged is your role in fostering a strong corporate culture and boosting employee morale and engagement. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, has incredible attention to detail, motivated and experience working in a fast pace environment.


Event Design & Execution:
  • Plan a calendar of corporate events by researching and brainstorming new, creative and effective internal and external corporate events to support employee engagement, development and volunteerism.
  • Start-to-end orchestrator of corporate events that helps drive employee engagement and participation.
  • For large company wide events spearhead the event’s steering committee to plan the scope and format of events, establish and monitor budgets and review administrative procedures and drive event progress to completion.
  • Create and distribute visually impactful event invitations, signage, flyers and/or posters.
  • Organize event registration and sign-ups, and manage the logistics, and day-of execution across multiple locations and offices.
  • Draft post-event analysis and reporting such as event registration, attendance and success measures. Provide recommendations on how to better improve future events.
Foster and maintain a strong Corporate Culture:
  • Organize and facilitate in-house and external corporate events such as Town Halls, lunch and learns, office lunches, team-building activities, social and charity events and company celebrations and parties.
  • Manage and organize the Corporate Snacks Program across our different offices, which includes planning, ordering and setting up the menu of snacks, beverages, and other food/consumables weekly to keep our staff happy and focused on their work.
  • Implement and coordinate recognition activities or events for major milestones, awards and other achievements as appropriate.
Facilitate Meetings:
  • Set appointments, schedule and coordinate meetings/and or conference calls and notify/remind all parties of upcoming events and meetings.
  • Coordinate services for meetings and events, such as accommodation and transportation for participants, catering, signage, displays, audio-visual equipment, printing and security where needed.
  • Record detailed event planning meeting notes, event debrief and distribute when necessary.
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an events coordinator, office coordinator, or similar role (preferably from a start-up environment).
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Proactive with a can-do attitude, and drive to create a heightened employee experience.
  • Skilled in managing complex, large-scale events as well as more intimate gatherings.
  • Tech-savvy and curious about new tools to support you and your colleagues.
  • Knowledgeable in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office suite products.
