The Opportunity

The Human Resources Business Partner is a key position within KeyLeaf. Located in Saskatoon, SK this position will report directly to the HR Manager. The HR Business Partner is a driven, highly organized, outstanding communicator with the ability to multitask when priorities change. The successful candidate possesses excellent administrative and computer skills. This role includes working collaboratively with the HR team as well as client groups to ultimately support and coordinate human resources functions and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to managers and employees on all HR related matters

• Serve as the first point of contact on all payroll, benefits, recruitment, and policy inquiries

• Assist and provide guidance to managers on employee relations issues (conflicts, disputes, performance management)

• Responsible for all end-to-end Recruiting activities for the site(s) and support our Employer Branding initiatives

• Works collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure best practices are being maintained to ensure a positive hiring manager and candidate experience

• Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices and trends to drive departmental initiatives

• Identify, gather, and provide requirements to help with the development of HR policies, programs and initiatives and participate in implementation

• Coordinate the performance review process and ensure alignment with corporate initiatives

• Promoting Health and Safety by ensuring compliance in partnership with the management team

• Advising management and resolving employee relations issues in the day-to-day

• Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations, and provides recommendations for conflict/issue resolution

• Collaborating with operational leaders in the development of a more empowered and accountable culture with shared priorities

• Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention

• Leading Human Resources projects

• Manage multiple priorities in an energetic, fast-paced environment

Experience

• 3-5 years in Human Resources

• Experience working in a unionized environment

• Experience in Labour Relations

• Experience in Talent Acquisition

• Extensive knowledge of HR legislation and best practices in Saskatchewan

• Proficiency in MS office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio

• Strong screening and interviewing skills including behavioural interview techniques

As Cresco grows, we will operate with the same level of professionalism and precision in each new market we move in to.</p><p><b>JOB SUMMARY</b></p><p>The Senior Manager, Operations Training is focused on providing a great employee experience across Cresco Labs' operations organization (including cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, extraction, packaging, etc.). The role will be responsible for delivering Cresco Labs' organization-wide employee experience strategy across the operations business through onboarding and immersion, training, engagement, recognition and other learning and development initiatives. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Employee Experience (which reports into HR Learning &amp; Development), and leading a team of regional trainers, this role will engage with our teams at all operations locations nationwide.</p><p><b>CORE JOB DUTIES</b></p><p>• Through partnerships with operations business leadership and the HR Learning &amp; Development team, translate business strategy into a operations learning and employee experience strategy that will drive consistency, high-performance and a great employee experience across the national operations business.</p><p>• In partnership with the Sr. Manager, Retail Training Lead, manage and develop a team of regional trainers to execute the learning and employee experience strategy.</p><p>• Facilitate onboarding and immersion programs for new hires in a given region's operations locations, in person (travel) and/or via webinars.</p><p>• Travel to operations locations nationally to ensure quality of onboarding and immersion programs, recognition programs, engagement programs and other activities that support learning and employee experience initiatives.</p><p>• Ensure operations new hires nationally receive a standardized learning experience to establish consistency and regulatory-compliance in internal practices and patient-facing experiences; ensure new hires have demonstrated the ability to meet Cresco Labs' performance expectations and standards.</p><p>• Lead the creation and maintenance of operations training policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, job aids, etc.</p><p>• Lead the creation and updating of continuous education to ensure operations teams are aware of new initiatives, business priorities, SOPs, products, industry news, safety/compliance protocols, etc. that impact Cresco Lab's standards and expectations with respect to operations.</p><p>• Support the strategy and execution of Cannabis and Cresco product/accessories education.</p><p>• Maintains practical subject matter expertise in all operations positions as well as familiarity and understanding of cannabis laws and regulations in states where Cresco Labs has operations.</p><p>• Hold regional trainers accountable for administrative aspects of training including scheduling, registration, logistics, completion, record-keeping, evaluations.</p><p>• Define strategy for regional trainers to implement, administer, educate-on and support recognition programs to drive high-performing teams.</p><p>• Lead operations employee engagement programs and activities, to ensure national consistency and local effectiveness, regarding: Participation in firm-wide engagement surveys, engagement survey feedback actions, local events, holidays/celebrations, swag, etc.</p><p>• Partner with the national Learning &amp; Development team to support messaging / required actions around new manager training, performance management, career development, HR Compliance training, etc.</p><p>• Establish relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs, as needed.</p><p>• Partner with national HR Learning &amp; Development team to ensure development of operations management.</p><p>• Maintain expertise in learning and development and employee experience best practices on instructional design, industry trends and research.</p><p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS</p><p>• 5+ years experience in training design and delivery, onboarding, recognition, employee engagement and other employee experience initiatives.</p><p>• 5+ years experience in a fast-paced, hyper-growth operations / manufacturing environment.</p><p>• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, as well as high attention to detail.</p><p>• Experience with writing SOPs, work instructions, training materials and working with a Learning Management System.</p><p>• Demonstrate high level of professionalism and confidentiality as well as being able to relate comfortably to people in all levels of the organization</p><p>• Highly flexible and adaptable – working in a fast-paced environment involves daily shifting priorities;
