Overview:

Antidote’s Quality Assurance Person (QAP) plays a critical role in our success. 


Our QAP is responsible for the verification and validation of quality assurance, ensuring that cannabis products meet the objectives for quality, safety, regulatory, and customer expectations in accordance with the Cannabis Act and relevant regulations. 

The QAP will advise on, establish and monitor Quality Management Systems, and coordinate activities to meet production and product quality standards.

This role is tasked with creating clear and manageable documentation for internal and external audiences while complying with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage Antidote’s overall quality program and lead in developing, reviewing, and maintaining uncomplicated SOPs to ensure compliance under the Cannabis Act and Regulations. 
  • Develop training programs around SOPs and assess training gaps continuously.
  • Create detailed processes for production batch record review including deviations, change controls, and sanitation records.
  • Oversee and develop a pest control program, facility and equipment maintenance procedures, record keeping, sanitation, and quality control systems
  • Oversee analytical testing on each lot or batch of cannabis; ensure testing is conducted using validated methods, investigate deviations and out-of-spec results; determine release, quarantine.
  • Collaborate to develop and perform internal audits regularly to determine quality assurance compliance according to Cannabis Regulations.
  • Perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.
  • Investigate complaints regarding the quality of cannabis production and ensure immediate corrective action when necessary; take corrective and preventative measures.
  • Point of contact for Health Canada inspections


Education / Experience:

  • Current Health Canada Security Clearance in an approved QAP role required
  • Post-secondary education is preferred however direct experience will be equally considered
  • 3+ years experience in regulated industry; GPP / GMP preferred
  • 2+ years of GPP/GMP Manufacturing 
  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Experience with QMS software preferred
  • Demonstrated experience identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and taking initiative to lead them to completion
  • Demonstrated ability at effective team building and excellent people skills


Core Competencies:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to take complex information and extrapolate it into straightforward documentation
  • Ability to manage conflict and maintain strong team relations


This position is being offered as part-time; approximately 25-30 hours/week over the next 3-4 months and 20-25 hours/week ongoing.

This role will also assist in streamlining processes and assisting with ad-hoc duties</p><p>• Develop and guide the Demand Planning function to support and drive business objectives</p><p>• Develop and implement effective metrics for the Demand Planning function aligned with delivering business objectives</p><p>• Develop and communicate accurate Demand Plans to all areas of the business, including Finance, Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Logistics</p><p>• Work with Sales team to resolve priorities regarding customer demand and provide updates if orders will not meet due dates</p><p>• Monitor provincial and retail Customer inventory to avoid out-of-stocks</p><p>• Assist Sales team with weekly Customer Allocations</p><p>• Translate internal and external data, including inputs from Sales team into the demand plan.</p><p>• Provide inputs at both consensus and lower levels, as necessary, to ensure accuracy at all levels down to SKU.</p><p>• Interface with Sales team to develop forecasts for new products, and develop product exit strategies</p><p>• Interface with sales team to ensure that demand signal is reflective of actual customer requirements</p><p>• Validate the Demand Plan against Operations, Logistics, and Procurement Plans, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions to resolve the gaps</p><p>• Monitor progress against Sales targets and communicate results internally</p><p>• Develop, use and maintain demand planning software as the primary forecasting system tool</p><p>• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards under supervision</p><p>• Perform data analysis to identify data integrity issues/trends</p><p>• Ensure that automated data imports/exports contain appropriate data and are run in a timely manner</p><p>• Maintain documentation for reporting and data integrity standards and related policies</p><p>• Assist in life cycle planning and management</p><p>• Maintain ABC strategy- by $ volume &amp; Demand</p><p>• Own data accuracy/data clean up issues for assigned product portfolio.</p><p>• Focuses on improving customer delivery performance and optimized inventory levels.</p><p>• Daily review of customer backlog - Set priorities to ensure highest customer service levels</p><p>• Liaise with other departments as required, ensuring inventory levels are maintained in line with system safety stock.</p><p>• Provide metrics and updates to order administration, suppliers and operations group regarding shortages, on-time delivery, and purchase order reconciliation.</p><p>Key Competencies &amp; Requirements</p><p>• Experience in demand or production planning in an MRP/MPS environment.
