POSITION SUMMARY

Cresco Labs is seeking a Cultivation Manager to oversee day-to-day functions of the cultivation production areas; managing cultivation agents; ensuring that all processes, training requirements, schedules, policies and procedures are followed, and that the cultivation production goals are met.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• Experience managing a large-scale cultivation operation that has a clean history of compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in plant biology, physiology, biological sciences, or agricultural sciences

• Demonstrated personnel management experience

• Excellent multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills

• Advanced knowledge of plant cultivation and cultivation facility operations

• Demonstrated experience managing agents and operations

• Demonstrated experience in a position requiring critical-thinking, problem-solving, planning and assessment

• Knowledge of cannabis policy and law

• Two years of experience in a position with managerial responsibilities

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment

• Proficiency in windows-based software and point of sale applications

• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods of time

CORE JOB DUTIES

• Reports to Michigan Director of Cultivation

• Responsible for managing a cultivation staff, creating schedules, cultivation processes, inventory, and vendor relations

• Serves as a role-model and resource for cultivation staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations

• Coach, train and meet regularly with the team

• Responds to all agent questions, concerns, or suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts

• Manages area leads and supervisors

• Responsible for delegating tasks to cultivation staff in order to maintain a compliant and clean cultivation facility

• Responsible for implementing production plan

• Identification and communication of plant problems

• Oversees all cultivation tasks and processes, ensures proper documentation of all applicable activities in accordance with the State and standards set by Cresco Labs

• Responsible for measuring and mixing nutrient and plant applications and applying these mixtures according to Cresco Labs policy

• Ensure plant growth by pruning, toping, trimming, analyzing plant health according to Cresco Labs policy, as well as any other tasks required

• Maintain rotation of strains through garden to ensure variety and quantity for RMD locations

• Direct environmental programs, such as air or water compliance, above ground or underground storage tanks, spill prevention or control, hazardous waste or materials management, solid waste recycling, customer waste management, indoor air quality, integrated pest management, employee training, and disaster preparedness

• Responsible for data entry, track & trace and payroll

This facility presently has 9,000 square feet of flowering canopy and 4,000 square feet of vegetative canopy. We are looking for a hands-on individual who has experience running a large cannabis or horticultural greenhouse operation. The primary responsibilities will be to manage and optimize all the tasks in the grow including cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, topping, flushing, foliar, trimming, packaging, waste disposal, facility sanitation, and crew management. The Head Grower will oversee and supervise employees, ensuring that the company is in full compliance with all state and local regulations, production needs are met, and any procedural problems are addressed and resolved. Additionally, the Head Grower will train our cultivation team in the appropriate and approved cultivation methods, processes, and procedures and conduct employee performance evaluations.</p><p>The Head Grower is expected to implement a cultivation schedule aimed at utilizing the full potential of the facility to produce a consistently high-quality final product. Their focus will be to ensure that the needs of our plants are being always met. The Head Grower works with our Trim Room Manager to ensure the harvest and trimming plan is on schedule. The Head Grower will establish and analyze reports on current practices, adjusting workflow, procedures, and/or product usage to increase yields, efficiency, projected yield and performance, and overall profitability. Through the Assistant Cultivation Manager, the Cultivation Manager will provide oversight of all Cultivation Associates and ensure that the facility is safe and compliant with all applicable regulations at all times.
