is continuing to grow itself in the Michigan cannabis industry (no pun intended) and is excited to announce our next opening of a new cannabis dispensary coming to Monroe, MI We are currently looking for Assistant Managers that are cannabis knowledge experts to lead and undertake the responsibilities of daily operations in regards to staff, inventory and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate will inspire, respect and be able to provide educational cannabis sales information to customers, guests and other team members.

The Assistant Manager must be well educated in cannabis knowledge including but not limited to:

industry knowledge, strain differences, the growth process, effects of cannabinoids, types of terpenes, cannabis weight measurements, physical effects on the body, THC versus CBD, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, types of devices to consume cannabis with, etc.

The goal is to delegate and engage with employees and customers to identify their needs present and answer questions about products and services while also recommending solutions.

Having a positive attitude and a desire to grow your career in the cannabis industry will make you successful in this role.

ResponsibilitiesMonitoring the day to day operations of both retail front of house and inventory/receiving back of house with emphasis on controlling staff and store flowReview and assist the inventory manager and general manager in receiving all deliveries with diligence and accuracy in accordance with company and state regulationsCreate effective organization and information gathering for all inventory regarding special patient orders, employee patient samples, and weekly dealsLearn the ins and outs of the point of sale systemAssist with the cash audit process on a nightly and monthly basis, including but not limited to counting down drawers, making bank deposits, fulfilling change orders, etc.

Track various sales metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisOversee employee scheduling and attendanceTrack employee disciplinary actions including marks against attendance, drawer offages, inventory discrepancies, etc.

Assist with employee training and review process according to company SOPs

Assist in conducting nightly and monthly inventory audits in accordance with company and state guidelines to ensure there is no diversion of inventory, and effectively respond to discrepanciesMaintain records for all necessary documents:

delivery and inventory manifests, nightly and weekly inventory counts, and other company reportsSkillsProven work experience as an Assistant or General ManagerRetail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role, cannabis experience preferredUnderstanding of the retail sales process.

Most of the trusted brands you’re washing up with are made with detergents, chemicals and tallow, which is just another name for cow fat (umm… gross).
