The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will report to the People & Culture Manager and will supplement support to all departments and BZAM subsidiaries through the direct recruitment of various roles. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with high volume recruitment in a swiftly changing cannabis industry environment.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

Ø Work closely with other Talent Acquisition staff and People & Culture team members across multiple facilities and subsidiaries to assist in identifying recruitment needs and implementing effective talent acquisition strategies;

Ø Assist in developing and implementing aggressive, proactive and creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent in a highly competitive market;

Ø Ensure complete and effective Job Requisitions from Hiring Managers and generate Job Descriptions for posting across multiple channels, internally and externally; Post, remove and update accordingly and in a timely manner;

Ø Source and screen candidates; Conduct multiple interviews (phone, Skype, in-person) daily and provide recommendations for final candidate selection;

Ø Attend recruiting events, career fairs and other events as required; Conduct on-site recruiting and screening as necessary;

Ø Build and maintain a strong network of candidates through job boards, social media channels and networking sites;

Ø Maintain database of potential candidates for future consideration;

Ø Update talent acquisition dashboards and key metrics, communicating progress reports to the People & Culture and Talent Acquisition teams;

Ø Assist in training and supporting Hiring Managers in recruiting and hiring best practices and trends;

Ø Conduct background and reference checks for potential new hires;

Ø Review and distribute employment offers and terms as directed by the People & Culture Manager;

Ø Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, industry stakeholders and agencies as support resources and partners;

Ø Conduct ongoing research, engage in continuous learning and professional development;

Ø Assist with onboarding, orientation and training of new hires where required; and

Ø Other Talent Acquisition initiatives and projects as directed.

WHAT YOU BRING:

Ø Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources Management; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred;

Ø CPHR designation or candidacy considered an asset;

Ø Strong sense of motivation and a passion for setting standards;

Ø Good understanding of Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Code;

Ø Excellent understanding of all stages of the recruitment cycle;

Ø Proficiency in data-driven recruiting, with ability to understand key metrics;

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

Ø 2-3 years’ experience in high volume recruitment in a highly regulated industry;

Ø Experience with ATS implementation desirable;

Ø Involvement with Foreign Worker Programs considered an asset;

Ø Proven experience in managing multiple relationships and candidates with a high level of transparency and urgency; and

Ø Previous talent acquisition experience in the cannabis industry considered a strong asset.
