JOB SUMMARY*

The State Coordinator will be responsible for providing support and coordinating efforts to help the flow of business operations. The overall goal is to ensure smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES *

• Be the right hand of the State Director

• Assist the State Director in managing operational goals.

• Assess and manage current SOPs and operational processes, identify opportunities for improvement and assist with solutions

• Build strong working relationships with operational leaders at all levels.

• Manage state reporting for accounting, financial budget's, and performance indicators

• Assist the State Director in any general requirements to run the state

• Manage employee licensing for the states/region

• Support the recruiting team and assist as necessary

• Assist the State Director across all business lines (Cultivation, Processing, Retail, Distribution) for the assigned states/regions.

• Manage regulatory compliance for all business lines in the territory

• Support front line employee's and subject matter experts with day-to-day decision making

• Gain and build relationships with all cultivators, processors, dispensary, and wholesale partners.

• Manage pricing analysis and new products in state/region for wholesale and retail.

• Assist with oversight of any construction projects within the state/region.

• Communicate with corporate marketing department; ensuring and managing implementation with state managers.

• Manage relationships with cash pickups/deliveries in partnership with accounting, treasury, and finance.

• Manage auditing in partnership with corporate licensing and compliance department.

• Visit state/regional facilities frequently and consistently Facilitate compliance spot checks on every visit (inventory, SOPs, cash, tags, etc.)

• Manage regular maintenance on all equipment and utilities is being performed in partnership with relevant departments and managers.

• Manage and ensure state compliance training manuals and required trainings are up to date in partnership with learning and development, compliance, and management teams.

• Manage and ensure all department heads are training staff accordingly and collecting/filing required proficiency assessments and training acknowledgements.

• Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

• Participate in the evaluation and changes to processes and procedures upon regulatory updates and or State deficiencies.

• Manage and assist site leaders to administer all processes and procedures and ensure working within the regulatory framework.

• Assist the State Director by answering phone calls and emails, providing appropriate specialized guidance and information.

• Assist the legal team as necessary.

• Additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS *

• Prior business operations experience in Manufacturing, Retail, Agriculture or similar industry or role.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization.

• Detail oriented with an eye on process optimization.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.

• Must be able to obtain all licensure required per assigned state/region guidelines to sell, distribute, manufacture cannabis

• Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department.

• Proficient computer skills including typing speed of 50 WPM, strong command of Microsoft Office Suite products, and more.

• Knowledge of applicable cannabis laws, rules, and regulations preferred.

• Detail oriented with a knack for creative problem solving.

• Excellent time management and organization skills required.

• Excellent communication skills both verbally and through written media.

EDUCATION *

• Bachelor's degree

This position achieves this purpose by exercising independent judgment to determine eligibility; by educating, counseling and when necessary applying administrative sanctions. The position requires the exercise of discretion since the work often involves cases that are controversial and and/or sensitive in nature because of critical public opinion about issues such as neighborhood impact, drug and alcohol abuse, and organized crime.</p><p></p><p><b>Want to know more? Document facts, reasons for conclusions, and actions sufficient for use in administrative hearings or criminal/civil court settings. Assist agency hearings case representatives in administrative hearings process as requested.</li><li>Communicate effectively throughout the investigative process to ensure results and findings are understood.</li><li>Exercise statutory authority of a peace officer in dealing with people involved in criminal violations of liquor and other related statutes. Issue criminal citations and assists in prosecution as appropriate.</li><li>Detect, seize, maintain, control, and dispose of evidence.</li><li>Interpret, research, and apply relevant statutes and rules, case law, attorney general opinions, and OLCC policy to relevant facts. Analyze facts to decide appropriate action to gain compliance from licensees and permittees including education and counseling, warnings and notice of violation tickets. Deliver subpoenas, post license suspensions and verify suspensions are served.</li><li>Assist in the prosecution of administrative violations as requested and when appropriate. Requirements:<p><b>Required Education:</b></p><p>Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent Legal, Risk, Compliance, Banking, or Financial Services experience</p><p><b>Required Knowledge:</b></p><p>Demonstrated deep understanding of cannabis banking areas. Must have strong computer skills; including a working knowledge of Microsoft ® Office Suite. Knowledge and thorough understanding of financial terminology, bank operations, bank system applications, policies, procedures, and regulations preferred.</p><p><b>Required Experience:</b></p><ul><li>At least 5+ years of experience and advanced level of knowledge in the cross-functional areas of BSA/AML, Fraud and Risk.</li></ul><p>Required Skills:</p><ul><li>Must be organized.</li><li>Must be detailed oriented to ensure accuracy in operational transactions, detect errors and follow through with corrective action.</li><li>Must have the ability to embrace change</li><li>Excellent oral and written communications skills including a strong vocabulary, rules of composition and grammar</li><li>Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in group situations to Bank staff</li><li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations simultaneously</li><li>Ability to create and manage a complex workflow environment utilizing software systems that results in efficient and accurate processes</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively and work cross-functionally across disparate teams</li><li>Ability to work independently without direct supervision and strong sense of responsibility</li><li>Must have customer/client focus</li><li>Must have proficient problem solving and analysis skills.</li></ul><p><b>Physical Demands/Work Environment Requirements:</b></p><p>Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers.
