GVB Biopharma operates in the organic cultivation, research, development, and marketing of hemp-based wellness products and is looking for an energetic, self-motivated professional with a highly resourceful “can do” work ethic to join our team as our next Staff Accountant.

You’ll be responsible for all daily accounting tasks, including posting weekly bank and credit card reconciliations, preparing daily cash balances and updating expense files. You'll perform financial transactions and post them in the general ledger, with strong attention to detail.

What you'll do:

  • Post weekly bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Prepare daily cash balances summary
  • Maintain fixed asset depreciation schedules for multiple entities
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and ensure payments are up to date
  • Reconcile, verify, and validate all entries and postings to balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Amortize prepaid expenses
  • Record inter-company journal entries and reconcile inter-company accounts
  • Perform various special projects and tasks

What you'll have:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • At least 3-5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • Strong Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and systems skills
  • QuickBooks experience Preferred
  • Accurate; meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and follow-through
  • Ability to communicate professionally
  • Strong problem solving, research, and resolution skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, both independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high volume and changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, accurately execute multiple tasks, and adhere to deadlines; working with a sense of urgency.
  • Solid English written and verbal communication skills.
