About This Job

We are looking for a talented Mobile Application Software Engineer to join our team. You will be getting in on the ground-level with us and working on virtually all aspects of the current and future applications. You will help us build the foundation of mobile excellence in dutchie along with its culture, processes, and practices. There's a ton of interesting problems to solve.

What You'll Do

• Development and maintenance of core point of sale applications written in Flutter & Dart.

• Development and maintenance of critical hardware integrations in JS, Objective C, Swift, Kotlin

• Work closely with our Product team in designing and developing customer facing features.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of development experience required

• Understanding of mobile development languages (Obj. C/Swift/Java/Kotlin/Dart) and general software best practices

• You have experience building resilient and responsive mobile applications

• You take pride in the code you write - it's clean, tested, organized, and elegant

• Self-starter - you're proactive and are able to start projects and tasks without constant direction

• Quick learner - you pick up new frameworks and technologies quickly

• Great communication skills - you make sure that message sent is message ack’ed

• You are agile - we move quickly and ship code often, but you can adapt to when the pace needs to slow down

• You enjoy your time working, but you enjoy your time outside of work too

As a member of the project team, meet coding deliverables in line with project release plan</p><p>The Qualifications</p><p>• Must have Baccalaureate degree in an appropriate IT field such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited U.S. college or university, equivalent foreign institution, or equivalent experience</p><p>• 5+ yrs experience as a developer working on large websites</p><p>• Strong experience on object-oriented design and concepts</p><p>• Strong experience working in Agile environment and understanding of SCRUM/KANBAN process</p><p>• Back-end Python or Java building an optimization engine with APIs for consumption to the rest of the product. Experience with GraphQL APIs a plus, but not required</p><p>• Experience building responsive web and mobile applications using modern frameworks such React, Backbone, Angular.
