About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join our Finance team. The Senior Financial Analyst for FP&A will support the company’s overall growth. As a Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A), you will use your strong financial knowledge to add narratives to financial figures, forecasts/budgets and provide robust solutions to complex financial problems. The Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) will work to find innovative ways to report on finances and communicate with transparency across all platforms. In addition, you will assist in preparing a wide range of ad hoc financial planning reports and streamlining Microsoft Excel-based financial models.

About Your Day

• Foster and develop strategic business partnerships with functional and departmental leaders

• Create and maintain financial adhoc reports, briefings and presentations for the Senior Leadership Team

• Complete monthly/quarterly/ annual variance analysis and provide reports to the different business units

• Provide management with timely adhoc financial analysis and reports as needed (i.e. revenue and cost analysis, budget reviews, forecasting and business analytics)

• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasting tools and other analytical tools while monitoring trends and identifying exceptions

• Assist the Senior Manager, FP&A with the development and monitoring of the budget, forecast, dashboards and a three-year business plan

• Develop new processes and reporting using BI tools to gain a better understanding of the company’s financial landscape

• Identify, quantify and address areas of risk and opportunities within the business

• Create and provide financial insights/analysis using tools like Excel, Microsoft D365, and Microsoft Power BI

• Identify and execute against ad hoc analytical projects that deepen business insight and drive value within the OCS

• Liase with Information Technology to assist in the implementation and maintenance of a financial planning tool

About You

• Post-secondary education in Finance / Accounting or related fields

• CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA) is required

• 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis

• Strong technical and analytical skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

• Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools is a strong asset (i.e. Power BI)

• Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills to provide professional analysis and recommendations

• Experience with preparing presentations for the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership team

• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset

• Retail experience is an asset

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills

Remote Work

• You will be required to be in the office a minimum of 1 day per week, with the ability to work from home for the remaining workdays (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance).

• When working from home, a reliable internet connection is required. Remote work is supported with cloud-based applications and collaboration tools (i.e., MS Teams)
