We have an opening for a Sr. Accountant (External Reporting) to work out of the Corporate Office located in Troy, Michigan.

SUMMARY

The Sr. Accountant (External Reporting) will be responsible for assisting with technical accounting matters arising at the Company, supporting the consolidation process, and preparing interim and annual financial reporting information. The successful candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting research, be comfortable independently researching and resolving issues, and be able to manage multiple priority items while working with a variety of cross-functional teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and assist with External reporting requirements, including interim and annual financial statements.

• Manage quarterly consolidations of the Company’s financial statements and equity accounting.

• Research and provide guidance on certain technical accounting matters, including performing research and documenting conclusions for a variety of non-standard transactions.

• Perform and review monthly reconciliations.

• Participate and manage the monthly close process.

• Assist in coordinating the external audit process.

• Prepare general ledger entry postings.

• Provide general administrative assistance and support as needed.

• Participate in special projects and initiatives as necessary to enhance the Company’s operations, controls, and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of accounting experience, including the assessment of complex technical accounting issues.

• Experience with SEC reporting requirements and IFRS reporting framework.

• Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communications, networking, and presentation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and prioritize competing demands in order to meet deadlines.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

• Experience with Accounting / ERP software packages
