Store Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of the assigned retail location in accordance with the State of Michigan and the standards set by the Company.

Store Manager provides support to all staff which includes (Job Responsibilities):

  • Build and continuously coach an exceptional team that will always provide the highest level of customer experience
  • Exceed the customers’ expectations by implementing and training staff on exceptional service delivery and strategies
  • Effectively communicate and delegate goals, tasks, and responsibilities to the team to ensure a smooth operational flow
  • Monitor and manage staffing, scheduling, operations, processes, etc.
  • Help to implement and enforce HR policies and standard operating procedures including safety requirements
  • Clear knowledge and understanding of state and local cannabis regulations (including Metrc) and ensure that compliance is executed in daily operations
  • Encourage and promote a teamwork environment and empowering team members to self-manage
  • Promote an environment and culture that is focused on positive and healthy interactions
  • Meet or exceed sales goals, profitability, and operational excellence
  • Drive customer visit goals and increase the number of returning customers
  • Analyze, forecast, and deliver financial and operational reporting regularly
  • Monitor and provide analysis of product trends and opportunities
  • Evaluate and manage competitive pricing for optimization of sales
  • Identify underperforming metrics and help develop strategies for improvement
  • Foster positive and productive relationships with all vendors
  • Monitor and manage inventory, product placement, store presentations and work with the Brand Development team to raise awareness and increase sales
  • Engage meaningfully in the local community through events, programs, and partnerships
  • Implement systems of checks and balances in areas vulnerable to loss

Job Requirements:

  • 2 years retail management experience required
  • 2 years customer service experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Understanding of state and local marijuana laws preferred
  • Prior experience with cannabis systems like FlowHub, Metrc, and I Heart Jane preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment
  • Highly self-motivated and accountable
  • Bachelor’s degree in business preferred but not required (related work experience will be heavily considered)
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a dispensary, excellent people skills, a genuine passion for the cannabis industry and the wellbeing of customers.</p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES: </b></p><ul><li>A critical element of the role will be to ensure that the environment and customer experience reflect the Stinky Leaf vision and values.</li></ul><ul><li>Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to the retail organization, with a strong understanding of the market and customer needs, as well as anticipating future needs.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintains a presence on the sales floor in order to effectively coach and support the dispensary team.</li></ul><ul><li>Perform a significant role in defining objectives, strategies and plans. Works effectively with cross functional partners (Operations, inventory/planning, finance, advocacy, etc.) to implement those plans.</li></ul><ul><li>Maximize retail productivity, sales, and profit, while ensuring that standards of service excellence are continuously met and improved upon.</li></ul><ul><li>Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, enhance customer experience, and maintain best in class practices.</li></ul><ul><li>Identify KPI’s, trends, and opportunities to define changes in processes and procedures that drive operations and selling agendas.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for driving brand initiatives, including overseeing the customer experience of the brand and community/customer/governmental outreach within this channel.</li></ul><ul><li>Proactively collects the voice of the customer feedback, and uses feedback to implement new product offerings.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensures a world class experience exists for our customers.</li></ul><ul><li>Understands and remains current on market demand for product offerings, and ensures dispensary teams are trained to meet customer needs.</li></ul><ul><li>Creates an environment in which a personal, customer focused, and service oriented mentality is standard.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensuring effective succession planning by identifying and developing future leaders with an interest and potential to grow.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure dispensary and personnel are in accordance with company policy and state regulations, in all operations, processes, inventory management and protocol.</li></ul><ul><li>Partners with internal teams to ensure product and store allocations provide a cohesive strategy and brand experience to drive sales revenue opportunities.</li></ul><ul><li>Develops training and reinforces service, product, operations, and management expectations through training and development of store teams.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensures operational priorities, processes and procedures are communicated, understood and executed consistently.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with inventory and delivery management.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications Preferred: </b></p><p>· Passion for and knowledgeable about Cannabis</p><p>· Passion for Stinky Leaf Culture</p><p>· Minimum of (2) three years of management in cannabis, specialty retail or a comparable retail environment.</p><p><b>Other Duties: </b></p><p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
