The Sanitation Technician is a role that is responsible for cleaning activities in our busy cannabis facility. The primary responsibilities of this position will carry out light to heavy cleaning and sanitization activities. Additionally, this position will assist with monthly checks on Fire extinguishers and safety lights. The ideal candidate is punctual, trustworthy, able to manage time effectively, takes pride in the work they do, and is aware of health and safety procedures. If you have prior cleaning experience, require strict sanitation standards, have organization and attention to detail skills, and are interested in working in the cannabis industry, this is the position for you!

Position Duties and Responsibilities

The Sanitation Technician works within the company's sanitization team. The selected candidate's duties and responsibilities include the following:

· Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and sanitization of the facilities including floors, corridors, production rooms, offices, washrooms, equipment and supplies

· Maintain exceptionally high standards for cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination of areas

· Empty facility trash bins daily and replace with new garbage liners

· Clean and restock restrooms and change-rooms

· Maintain PPE throughout the facility to ensure supplies are accessible during operational hours

· Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Form’s

· Document tasks performed as per SOP and good production practices

· Abide by company policies, procedures, and strict sanitization processes

· Promote and ensure safe work conditions and enforce company Health and Safety policies

· Understand and safely handle industrial chemicals and cleaners

· Train new employees on facility sanitization and company standards

· Meet demanding deadlines

Minimum Requirements

· Successfully pass a criminal record check

· Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

· Must be 18 years of age or older

· High school diploma or GED or a minimum of 1 year of direct experience

· Strong oral and written communication skills and basic mathematical skills to ensure correct documentation and traceability

· Flexibility to work on evenings and weekends, if needed

Position Preferences

· Previous experience in a cannabis, manufacturing or pharmaceutical facility

· Knowledge of GMP, GDP and GPP

· Valid First Aid Certification

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

· Physically fit to perform manual labour tasks required in an indoor facility

· Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time including standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and lifting

· Must be able to lift loads up to 50lbs
