An In N Out Budtender must be customer service oriented, knowledgeable and possess a friendly, outgoing personality. A Budtender should be able to assist customers with questions they may have about the product or products. A working knowledge of recreational cannabis is an asset, however, we will provide training.

It is paramount that each interaction with a customer be viewed as welcoming and an opportunity to build a rapport and foster repeat business. The purpose is to create a welcoming and positive experience to help customers get what they came in for, whether it's their first time or their 100th time. We want the customer to enjoy the process and bring back their family and friends.

This industry is constantly evolving and our In N Out Budtender Team must be open to training, feedback, and learning about the industry. There will be ongoing training provided as this industry has provided opportunities to grow and learn (and there is so much more to learn)! This cannabis industry is highly regulated so the ability to follow relevant provincial regulations and each individual store’s policies and procedures will be of the utmost importance.

Successful completion of provincial SellSafe Cannabis Staff Training will be a mandatory first step along with a satisfactory Qualified Cannabis Worker application.

Budtender Team members duties will include:

-Opening and closing procedure of the stores, as required

-Accurately handle cash & electronic payments

-Knowledge (or ability to learn quickly) about the products available in stock

-Operate our integrated point of sale system

-Assist in receiving stock

-Follow strict COVID cleaning procedures

-Organize and Demonstrate Creativity when displaying products for sale

-Restock as needed

-Secure products and lock up inventory

Staying current on staff and industry communications will prepare all Budtenders for their time on the sales floor so they can assist customers with the daily and weekly promotions, as well as stay current with any changes or additions to policy or procedures that facilitate the safety and security of In N Out Cannabis Team members, management, customers and our products. All team members are responsible for the ongoing cleanliness of the store and maintaining strict Covid protocols.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be legally eligible to work in Canada. Applicants should have good command of the English language (both written and verbal), the ability to speak a second language is considered an asset. Applicants should enjoy working with others and be customer focused, relatable and willing to develop professional relationships with our clientele. Applicants should be comfortable with electronic POS stations and terminals must have a flexible schedule, ability to work evenings and weekends. Retail sales background preferred.
