Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative will manage the complete sales cycle of TPCo product catalog into new wholesale retailer partners. You will develop meaningful relationships with retailers to encourage trust and loyalty in TPCo's service and products and manage the complete sales cycle of the TPCo product catalog. The Outside Sales Representative will create impactful programs for TPCo at the point of purchase and continue to manage and grow wholesale retailer partnerships once they are customers.

What You'll Do

  • Present products to prospective clients and make outbound calls or cold calling to potential customers.
  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads as a function of customer service.
  • High prospecting activity and quick response time to customers are critical.
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email/text.
  • Keeping up with current and new TPCo product information and updating clients.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
  • Explaining and demonstrating features of TPCo products.
  • Staying informed about competing products and activity.
  • Up-selling products to new and current accounts.
  • Set and meet sales goals and objectives set by leadership.
  • Research, qualify, and set up new leads.
  • Follow up on cold and warm leads to close new accounts.
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets.
  • Report activity and achievement daily through morning stand ups and end of day reports.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

What You Have

  • Successful completion of a college diploma preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years on successful sales and customer service experience.
  • Cannabis experience a plus but not required.
  • Entry-level knowledge of cannabis related vocabulary and products preferred but not required.
  • Proficient working knowledge of CRM/ERP databases and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and time manage.
  • Must be able to adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Experience working in fast-paced work environment and able to adapt to demands of competing work priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and continuously improve sales skills to increase success rates.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Google Drive and Microsoft Office, comfortability with various software and CRM/ERP.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Working Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers, and will work in proximity with customers and staff.
  • Must be able to travel to other office locations.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Requires travel to different dispensaries and locations throughout assigned area, particularly during peak times.
  • Default work location is the San Jose or Costa Mesa office. Customer travel days are encouraged.

  • Must be able to travel to other office locations.
  • Ability to use computer and calculator for 8 hours or more.
  • Required to have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history. Must have own transportation.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check with the local law enforcement.
