About the RoleReporting to the Chief Executive Officer and/or the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Retail Marketing is a strategic partner who oversees the development and execution of the brand and marketing plans for Nova Cannabis’ stores, including the Value Buds banner, to ensure the business exceeds its goals of building awareness and increasing store visits, while attracting new customers. The ideal candidate will lead the development of long-term brand marketing strategies that when executed effectively communicate and enhance our competitive advantages, improve our brand health and help to drive the achievement of profitable sales targets and share gains. The appropriate candidate is a well-rounded marketing professional with experience working in retail and with highly regulated industries (cannabis industry experience a benefit) and is as comfortable building out and managing a multi-disciplinary team as they are rolling up their sleeves and working directly on deliverables. Cannabis operations within the BCLDB includes the Distribution, Merchandising, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing departments.</p><p>Reporting to the Director, Marketing, E-commerce &amp; Customer Care Centre, Cannabis Operations, the Senior Manager, E-commerce is responsible for the digital strategy and e-commerce for BC Cannabis Stores and the execution of campaigns and initiatives such as web/mobile development, purchase flow, content management, digital merchandising, email campaigns, and search engine optimization (SEO). Responsible for optimizing the user experience by leveraging analytical tools and insights, the Senior Manager, E-commerce analyzes industry trends working closely with Marketing, Customer Care, Merchandising and IT teams. This position will have dual responsibility for driving offline (in-store) traffic and sales via relevant content on digital properties and driving online (ecommerce) revenues for BC Liquor Cannabis Stores through digital and e-commerce conversion strategies. The Senior Manager drives online growth and creates positive user experiences by leading campaigns to acquire, convert and retain online and retail customers, and providing input to the cannabis division omni-channel roadmap.
