Marketing Director

We are looking to hire our head of Marketing to lead and build upon VIIA Hemp Co’s marketing strategy and further our mission of delivering the future of natural wellness products. In this role, you will spearhead the marketing operations with an emphasis in Acquisition, Retention, Brand Marketing, Partnerships, Creative Marketing and Analytics. Our ideal candidate is obsessed with DTC models and has the ability to analytically and creatively conceptualize engaging marketing campaigns, analyze data and optimize performance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy and execution of multichannel eCommerce retention marketing programs that increase LTV (Email, Ecomm, Loyalty, Subscription)
  • Hire, train and lead internal and external partners (PR, agencies etc.)
  • Optimize website traffic through planning and executing SEO strategies including Google Analytics and keyword strategies
  • Help set goals to meet overall channel revenue and performance targets
  • Analyze and interpret customer behaviors to drive increased retention
  • Implement and optimize the consumer funnel (top of funnel, acquisition, activation, engagement, conversion)
  • Develop strategies and execute lifecycle campaigns/automated campaigns and workflows using segmentation; monitor ongoing maintenance of customer lifecycle series
  • Track campaign, channel and customer data to inform planning; clearly communicate key learnings, actionable hindsights, and recommend new opportunities to leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Growth, Creative, Brand Marketing, Operations, Customer Service to hit online sales goals; maintain holistic customer experience
  • Market research and benchmarking of target markets, analysis of company products in relation to competitors.
  • Optimize campaign performance after analyzing performance data.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of demonstrated success in multichannel retention marketing: Email, Loyalty, DTC, cross-sell and up-sell initiatives, website features
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience related to all paid, referral, affiliate and organic channels in order to optimize conversion and drive acquisition
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with email marketing and platforms (e.g., Klaviyo)
  • Expert-level experience with SEO, Google Analytics and keyword strategies
  • Have a proven track record of managing and developing high volume email programs
  • Sophisticated understanding of segmentation, developing automated and lifecycle programs that drive efficiency
  • Creative “eye” and copywriting
  • Interest in brand building and aesthetics
  • Basic HTML knowledge a plus
  • BA in Marketing, Digital technologies or similar relevant field
