About the Role

We are looking for a Filling Supervisor to join our team. As a Filling Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the production line of our health and wellness products and ensure that they are packaged, labeled, and inventoried to ship.

Essential Functions:
Duty--Product Management
Tasks:

  • Supervise and oversee the filling department staff to include assigning personnel to specific stations during shifts, interviewing potential hires, and working with the

Production Manager to determine staffing requirements

  • Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
  • Report to Production Manager on activities and issues
  • Collaborate with Batch Confection Supervisor, Labeling Supervisor and Shipping

Supervisor for cross training of staff and maintaining production

  • Manage and Optimize KPI’s to provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to management
  • Produce operation reports quarterly to management for overall levels of efficiency, safety, employee morale, and production
  • Review work orders, invoices, and forecasts
  • Provide maintenance and malfunction records to identify problems (e.g., changes to procedures, workflow, or equipment)
  • Oversee and implement production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules
  • Supervises, evaluates and develops the material handlers who are responsible for filling batch materials

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a lead or supervisory role within a food handling manufacturing industry or equivalent to a food production line
  • Understanding of quality standards, safety & health regulations
  • Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Gmail)
  • Read, write, speak and understand English for the purpose of following written policies and procedures, completion of reports, and communicating with others in the work setting
  • Experience in reporting data on production metrics
  • Knowledge of performance evaluations and team building
  • Knowledge or experience with Florida food handling standards and/or Florida

Department of Agriculture

  • Hemp-centric experience is a plus

Working Environment:

  • Warehouse setting to include long periods of focusing, standing, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • May be exposed to unusual elements like chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, and/or loud noises from machinery while in the warehouse
  • May be exposed to temperatures that fluctuate from hot to cold
