We are looking for an enthusiastic REGIONAL SALES MANAGER with cannabis industry and sales management experience to join and lead the Ontario Sales Team. The ideal Team Member will have proven sales leadership experience and success selling cannabis products in multiple retail channels. You must have the ability to work independently with little oversight and have a superior track record in leadership sales positions.

About the opportunity…

As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position plays a lead role in the establishment and growth of customer relationships, this position is responsible to meet customer acquisition and revenue growth by maintaining a competitive and innovative position in the industry for the business unit. Also responsible to lead a sales team to reach sales targets, set quotas and targets, evaluate and adjust team member performance, and develop processes that drive sales.

Specifically:

• Achieve growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team

• Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the business unit customer base and ensures strong presence

• Lead the sales strategy and execution for regional customers

• Lead business development and in-store execution in the pursuit of being ‘First Choice’ for territory customers

• Manage recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales team members

• Devise strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales targets; identify areas of improvement and develop/implement plans and process

• Map potential customers and generate leads for the business unit

• Establish sales relationships with a new customer base as well as define and implement key sales processes

• Lead sales planning, solutions and execution for both key account and independent customers for cannabis dispensaries

• Using key account principals, establish and execute account annual plans in pursuit of sales objectives

• Create/implement best practice selling tools and processes for the sales team using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform/tool

• Manage regional key account customers as assigned

• Work closely with trade marketing to develop, implement, and measure winning customer solutions

• Manage brand promotion of new and existing products to retailers to increase sales using various assets and channels

• Deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales targets and in store conditions measures

• Lead key account sales forecasting with support from the procurement team

• Lead the ongoing management, training and development of the sales team

• Motivate team members to work towards a common objective and deliver desired results
