Objective

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for the NorCal territory. They will be responsible for establishing Omura as the market leader for whole flower ‘heat-not-burn’ in their specific territory.

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing and executing the sales, training and local marketing functions for the Omura brand within their local territory. He/She will work with our executive team and other sales staff to understand top-line sales targets and develop/implement an entire distribution program to penetrate retail as well as delivery within the territory. Be responsible for consumer and Bud Tender education.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans and strategies for initial market penetration into dispensaries

• Work with Marketing team to develop sales materials and in-store programs that will maximize sell through for the product line.

• Create a unique customer experience to increase brand awareness and build brand loyalty and ultimately drive in-store sales.

• Monitor how Omura is displayed in dispensaries as well as online to ensure the brand is well represented.

• Develop and oversee Sales Associate/Bud Tender training and education program.

• Coordinate in-store demos with store managers/store owners.

• Communicate seasonal campaigns, events and contests to all sales associates in your territory.

• Assist team with research and gathering insights into assigned territory. Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to Executives

• Seed and develop new relationships with store associates and budtenders.

• Work in compliance with state and city rules and regulations.

Required Education, Experience, Must Haves

• Currently employed as a Sales Manager for a premium Californian cannabis brand

• 3-5 years of experience in the cannabis industry

• Personal network of connections in the dispensary channel in the relevant territory

• Motivated self-starter with excellent people skills

• Strong verbal communication skills including experience with negotiating and presenting

• Creative problem-solving abilities and knowledge as it relates to the cannabis industry

• Ability and flexibility to travel regularly to work non-traditional hours, including days, some evenings, weekends and some holidays

• Experience providing status reports with market and customer feedback to the corporate leadership team

• Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership and leadership collaboration

• Strong ability to coach sales team members at all levels to higher performance

• Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of senior decision makers

• Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to influence others

• Must have a reliable form of transportation with insurance and a clean driving record.

• Must be comfortable standing for 3-4 hours at a time

The preferred location is in Chicago, New York, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, but open to a remote location for the right candidate.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>• Manage execution of everyday business with identified e-tailer customers, including customer onboarding, promotional planning, digital shelf management, customer relationship, and operational excellence (e.g. supply chain operations) across pure play and brick and mortar eCom</p><p>• Identify new customer opportunities across a vast array of channels (CBD Specialty, Health &amp; Wellness, Beauty, Vape &amp; Smoke, General Marketplaces, and Alternative channels) leveraging tools and metrics to prioritize</p><p>• Be fully vested in the latest tools &amp; technology in the eCommerce space including but not limited to algorithms, search, navigation, taxonomy, ratings and reviews, etc.</p><p>• Manage ownership of P&amp;L and trade budget to monitor spending efficiency that focuses on a strong ROI</p><p>• Deliver target budget plan and new product distribution goals</p><p>• Understand customer go-to-market strategy and how to maximize sales growth</p><p>• Utilize and enhance eCommerce toolkits and digital shelf tools across key customers</p><p>• Be an active leader within the eCommerce channel working closely with cross-functional colleagues including customer service, finance, demand planning, supply chain, operations, commercial sales, sales enablement, eCom center of excellence, and commercial product organization</p><p>• Manage monthly reporting, forecasting, sales analytics and insights</p><p><b>Experience</b></p><p>• 7+ years of account management and CPG sales experience across Food/Drug/Mass channels</p><p>• 3+ years of CPG eCommerce experience with comprehensive knowledge of various platforms</p><p>• Strong history of supply chain and logistics management</p><p>• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and influence across multiple levels and functions and drive coordination across groups in a complex, fast-moving environment</p><p>• Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with demonstrated data driven approach to business management</p><p>• Knowledge regarding relationship management, experience and mindset to work with partners in building initiatives that deliver on goals</p><p>• Category management and consumer insights processes and implementation experience</p><p>• Experience using syndicated data to evaluate the market and leverage insights for price and promotional efficiency</p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required, MBA a plus</p><p>• High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, OneDrive etc.)</p><p>• PIM &amp; DAM experience (Salsify) a plus</p><p>• CBD industry and supplier experience a plus</p><p>• High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills</p><p>• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, have an entrepreneurial mindset</p><p>• Understand the value of listening to customers, gaining insights and moving objectives forward</p><p>• Travel expected at least 25% of the time</p><p><b>Other Details</b></p><p>This is a full-time role working remotely based out of one of the following cities/states: LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, NY, NJ or Baltimore.</p><p>We appreciate the interest from all candidates, and promise to review all applications, but we will only be contacting those who best fit the requirements.
