Operations Coordinator

Reporting to the VP – Facilities & IT, the Operations Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating workflow and scheduling tasks and resources across departments under constantly changing conditions. The role will additionally involve logistics, documentation, record keeping, and creation and updates of operating procedures. This is a full-time salaried position.

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will be an analytical thinker with process and records management skills, who has the ability to work under pressure with excellent problem solving skills. They must be able to adapt to constantly changing conditions and have strong patience and interpersonal communication skills. They must be able to work at a fast pace while always adhering to Experion’s SOPs and Health Canada Cannabis Act regulations.

We are located 15 minutes northeast of Mission with no transit options so you must have a reliable way to get to and from here.

What will you be responsible for as the Operations Coordinator?

  • Working with various departments to understand near-term workflow.
  • Scheduling tasks and resources to facilitate cross-department workflow.
  • Updating and rescheduling tasks and resources based on changing conditions.
  • Updating and recording facilities assets and procedures in a computer system.
  • Preparing maintenance and other work orders from the computer system.
  • Arranging to have completed maintenance and other work.
  • Documenting and verifying work performed.
  • Supporting and assisting contractors.
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) at all times.
  • Adhering to company safety procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with teams, contractors and suppliers.

What background, traits and experience do you need?

  • High School Diploma plus a minimum 3 years of administrative coordination or project management.
  • Strong software skills including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, familiarity using ERP, Project Management, and diagramming software.
  • Working within and organizing a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong ability to document activities in a computer system.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment is an asset.
  • Short listed candidates will be required to complete workplace and software proficiency test which will take approximately 90 minutes to be considered for employment.
