During the cultivation season, the Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, watering and providing nutrients. The Cultivation Technician will assist with harvesting the plants and processing the plants through the hanging, curing and packaging of the plants. Detailed recordkeeping and strict adherence to the company’s operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations is essential for this position. </span></p><p><br></p><p><strong style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Daily care of medical marijuana plants, including watering, pruning and trimming, inspecting the plants. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Fertilizing and providing nutrients to the plants according to cultivation protocols set forth by the Lead Grower. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for disease or infestation. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Assist with de-leafing and harvesting the medical marijuana plants, including hanging, curing and drying the plants. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Continuous systematic cleaning and sanitizing of grow facility and machinery; dispose of waste according to strict compliance guidelines. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Accurate tracking and recording of data during each phase of the cultivation process. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Carefully follow directions as provided by the Lead Grower. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Willingness to continue to learn best practices of medical marijuana cultivation with a strong interest in horticulture, agriculture and greenhouse operating systems. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Additional job duties as assigned.</span></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Qualifications</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Strong desire to work in cultivation or agriculture and a willingness to quickly learn about growing and harvesting quality medical marijuana plants. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">High level of integrity and a strong work ethic. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Strong interpersonal skills; team player. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment. </span></li><li><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Must be 18+ with no violent crime or controlled substance felonies and able to pass additional background screening.</span></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">Physical Requirements</strong></p><p><strong style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\"><span class=\"ql-cursor\"></span></strong></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(102, 102, 102);\">The Technician position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching all day. Moreover, this research includes cannabis control policy specific variables that will enable assessments of individual national and territorial regulatory measures. Overall, the primary purpose of this research is to provide decision makers in the 3 Canadian territories with ongoing feedback in the early stages of cannabis legalization, and evidence on the longer-term public health effects.</p><p>This study includes a population-based online survey among a total of 1,500 participants (500 in each of the 3 territories) aged 16+. The survey will be conducted each year in 2021, 2022, and 2023. To date, we have completed the survey data collections in 2021 and 2022.
