The successful candidate will oversee the implementation and management of the companies Quality Assurance/Control systems and Quality employees. The Quality Manager works closely with the CCO/QAP in monitoring and reviewing effectiveness of the Quality Management System. As the cannabis industry is a dynamic, fast paced, and ever-changing landscape this will require exceptional management skills, and the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of a Quality Manager include, but are not limited to: Help ensure that each batch is manufactured and checked in compliance with the laws in force in Canada and the destination market. Arranging review of Batch Production Records to determine if production batches can be released to buyers in the destination market. Providing support to operations staff to ensure GMP and GPP expectations are met. Preparing or reviewing written procedures, work instructions, logs, policies, and other documents. Preparing or reviewing specifications, sampling instructions, test methods, stability programs, and other Quality Control procedures as required. Confirming that all necessary testing is carried out and the associated records evaluated. Collaborating with Department Heads within the organization to ensure all operations are in full compliance of internal procedures and external regulations that apply. Continuously monitor SOP implementation, revisions, and operational adherence to written procedures Overseeing a team of quality assurance and quality control staff and communicate relevant operations, QMS, or other updates. Working with Quality team and Operations team on responses to audits and incidents that require regulatory reporting. Identify and oversee internal remediation as necessary.
