Revolution Cannabis is hiring a Purchasing Manager (PM) to be responsible for day to day and long-term strategic buying. This is a newly created position due to aggressive growth. Revolution's expansion makes our logistics needs dynamic. Fostering working relationships with vendors and fellow employees in multiple locations is required.

The ideal candidate will anticipate price volatilities in supply chains and view them as opportunities. A passion for getting materials where they need to be in a timely manner is crucial. Revolution is a known quality, innovation, and compliance leader in this rapidly emerging market. Our products convey our commitment to our customers while maintaining high functionality and conforming to constantly evolving multi-state regulatory controls. The PM will have a depth of knowledge in their field combined with the open mind critical to embracing the changes necessary for Revolution Cannabis to continue to flourish.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for controlling the company inventory, making sure that the inventory level is reviewed periodically and that the levels meet our company supply needs

• Developing the organization's procurement rules and regulations

• Establishing guidelines on safety stock, reorder point, and quoting.

• Act as the buyer of durable assets for automation, scaling and other functions

• Assist accounting and planning with capital expenditure approval processes when needed

• Establishing guidelines and evaluating quality, price, reliability, technical support, and contracts of components

• Negotiate pricing for raw materials, researching and tracking raw materials. Update all pricing and reporting pricing changes as requested/yearly.

• Planning the work of Buyers

• Monitor the company inventory for turnover

• May assist with coordination of shipping and receiving of materials, samples and products with customers, vendors, and suppliers.

• Obtain all raw material safety data sheets, working with QA when necessary

• Maintain and establish multi-source vendors and maintain files accordingly

• Supervise and plan all activities that relate to inventory control of the purchased components

• Input into inventory counts (ABC analysis) and submit appropriate reports to management

• Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability

• Monitor the progress of staff

• Will communicate at all levels of the organization with vendors, suppliers, and internal customers

• Aid with corrective action of supplier non-compliance

• Candidate must be skilled at negotiating prices and researching regarding raw materials needs

• Working knowledge of purchasing, sourcing, supplier performance management, supply chain and inventory strategies & practices

• Maintain confidentiality of all product, process and financial information

Minimum Education

B.S. in Business is adequate, Supply Chain or Logistics schooling is ideal

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of high volume purchasing and invoicing in a manufacturing environment is mandatory

• 2-3 years of documenting q-spec adherences in a regulated industry (food, pharma, cannabis)

• Strong familiarity with vendor negotiations (RFI/RFQ etc.)

• Experience leveraging knowledge of purchasing markets to produce cost savings

• ERP proficiency is strongly preferred

• High exposure to manufacturing and materials processes is necessary

• A history of working under deadline pressure, specifically from new product introduction is ideal

• Prior participation in a growing business or being part of a new procurement dept. is also ideal

• Cannabis industry experience/exposure/knowledge is beneficial

• Highly proficient in Microsoft applications: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

• Proven work experience as a Purchasing Manager

• Excellent communication skills

• Expertise in purchasing best practices

• Self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in business strategies

• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

• Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods

• Must be able to speak at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)

• Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions

Work Schedule

40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. Occasional travel to facilities, vendors, etc.

Manage the returns with the Inventory Specialists and follow up with the vendor until credits are received</p><p>Manage supply chain for cannabis and non-cannabis products, staying up-to-date on market changes and cyclical challenges</p><p>Forecast and analyze market pricing and trends</p><p>Serve as main point of contact for dispensary teams to collect product feedback to relay to management and vendors</p><p>Suggest and implement price adjustments based on sell-through, expiring product, and competitive analyses</p><p>Monitor store menus to ensure product and pricing accuracy</p><p>Develop and implement processes to streamline purchasing function across all three stores and ensure consistency between locations</p><p>Assist in creating and updating product SKUs in retail backend POS system</p><p>Other duties as assigned</p><p>Knowledge &amp;
