We are looking for exceptional talent to propel our company to the next level by producing cannabis consistent with the health and safety standards set by Health Canada. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Production Supervisor.
As a Production Supervisor, you will ensure our products are packaged and ready for shipping in a timely fashion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained, at all times
  • Lead by example and fosters an environment of mutual respect and teamwork
  • Conduct pre-shift huddles and provide feedback to staff
  • Responsible for leading production team on one or more production lines
  • Lead, coach, mentor and train team members
  • Maintain an open line of communication with operations manager
  • Ensure production schedules are met and issues are handled in a timely manner
  • Co-ordinate the various department schedules, products and manpower to ensure production is streamlined
  • Ensure all SOP’s and WI’s are being adhered to and that quality and safety standards are being met
  • Follow and enforce all GDP’s, GPP’s to maintain compliance with Health Canada
  • Assist in all implementations of new equipment, methods and or products, as well as trouble shoot processes and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a supervisory role (food, beverage or pharmaceutical experience is preferred)
  • Post-secondary education is an asset
  • Previous experience in production, manufacturing or other related fields
  • Strong computer skills, including Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with exposure to noise, odors, and repetitive work
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Always maintain a professional and friendly attitude
  • Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time
  • A willingness to learn, and able to follow directions
  • Works well individually and in a team environment
  • Must have accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail
  • Clean criminal record check
  • PLC knowledge would be considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills along with ability to build solid relationships and capability to influence and negotiate
  • Basic understanding of Cannabis laws and regulations would be considered an asset

The Processing Lead will be reporting to the Plant Processing Supervisor for all daily tasks.</p><p>Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li><p>Setup processing room at beginning of day - ensure stock of all tools/materials (gloves, bins, trim trays, trash bags, isopropyl alcohol, and microfiber towels)</p></li><li><p>Collect all processed flower into bin with package tag, input accurate data entry of bin/flower weights and package Metrc tags following the SOP</p></li><li><p>Collect and dispose of all greenwaste from technicians throughout the day</p></li><li><p>Quality control checks of flowers being processed, ensuring technicians are processing for the correct product type - following the SOP for appropriate flower size, trichome coverage, and handling of plants</p></li><li><p>Train employees on trim technique to optimize efficiency and maintain trichome integrity</p></li><li><p>Place packaged bins in walk-in freezer, organize bins(grouping per cultivar and harvest group) for manufacturing</p></li><li><p>Following strict biosecurity protocols, maintaining sanitation of tools and person</p></li><li><p>Ensuring Metrc tags are removed from individual plants, labeled, and stored for compliance according to the SOP</p></li><li><p>Effective communication with the Processing Manager/Supervisor - regarding labor needs, workflow management, materials/supplies, employee issues/complaints</p></li><li><p>Standing/squatting/sitting with arms extended for long periods of time</p></li><li><p>Any other task assigned by the Processing Manager</p></li></ul><p>The Processing Lead will be required to learn how to process plants for different manufacturing methods, and how to identify a variety of pests/pathogens.
