Overview:

Following policies set forth by the Company, support the overall operation of the production department through completion of the finished packaging of marijuana concentrates and infused products manufactured by the Production Department.

Essential Functions:
*
Accountable for ensuring the Production Department meet the demand, quantity, and quality of output in-line with Company objectives.

*
Accountable for completion of all work assigned to them during their scheduled shifts, including but not limited to:

*
Weighing, packaging, and labeling all finished products produced by department (internal/third-party)

*
Monitor and maintain all packaging specific equipment as required by protocols and manufacturer specifications

*
Foster a culture of open dialogue with the management team and other co-workers

*
Communicate all production related questions, concerns, or issues

*
Provide any necessary support to management team to ensure the success of all production operations, as assigned, trained, and/or requested.

*
Accountable for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies set forth by the Company when performing duties.

*
Utilize all Company resources to complete all assigned tasks

*
Seek continued education to satisfy all regulations and requirements of Company, and State regulatory bodies.

*
Facilitate the packaging of marijuana concentrates and infused products by performing all packaging procedures and protocol which include but are not limited to:

*
Documentation and communication of units produced during Packaging Sessions

*
Accurately weighing all concentrates and infused products produced by department.

*
Packaging Label Creation, application, and compliance

*
Packaging Supply Organization

*
Sanitization of all packaging workstations, equipment, and support materials

*
Support and assist in the execution and evaluation of Research & Development experiments performed by production department

*
Support and assist in the ongoing development of department protocol, procedures, and methodology

*
Ensure all standards for packaging procedures and production protocols are followed

*
Compliance with Division regulations.

*
Assuring compliance with local, state, and federal billing or licensing requirements

*
Quality control methods are adhered to through all processes

*
Production standards are documented and followed

*
Experiments/manufacturing methods are recorded for future reference

*
Inventory management including state mandated Inventory Control System

*
Utilize industry experience to ascertain all necessary equipment required for the safe and efficient packaging of cannabis concentrates and infused products

*
Support and assist in resolution of any packaging related complaints or issues.

*
Flexible work schedule required; to include covering a vacant shift and/or facility issues in emergency situations as needed.

*
Seek expanded knowledge-base, advancement, and diversification of skills within department.

*
Support inventory tracking compliance both internally, and within the state Inventory Control software.

*
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, sitting, bending, twisting and repetitive motions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 40 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)

Must be able to tolerate dusty, strong smelling marijuana odors, and be able to tolerate exposure to the product.

The Plant Production Associate will supplement support to the Plant Manager (Alternate Master Grower) and/or Post Harvest Specialist in ensuring optimal plant health, growth, perpetual harvesting and the day to day production of labor for optimal cannabis trimming, curing, drying and bulk packaging. The Plant Production Associate will exude passion for plants and the cannabis industry and will foster nurturing and healthy relationships with people and plants. As an emerging company in a rapid growth industry, BZAM’s innovative and accomplished leadership team is the cornerstone of our business and portfolio development.</p> <p><b>YOUR CONTRIBUTION: </b></p> <p>Ø Take direction from Plant Specialist (AMG) to assist in all plant activities and maintenance including pruning, plant training, installation of plant supports (trellis…) and harvest;</p> <p>Ø Take direction from Post-Harvest Specialist to help manage all aspects of cannabis curing and trimming whilst also assisting in crop setup to ensure production, harvest and curing schedules are met, processes and resources are optimized; collaborate with Plant Manager (MG) and Plant Specialist (AMG) to ensure all curing and trimming activities are completed on time for transfer and production;</p> <p>Ø Follow production, harvesting, packaging and curing schedules and communicate all variances and/or deviations to the Plant Manager (MG);</p> <p>Ø Perform harvesting activities such as cutting down plants, hanging, de-fanning, and leaf removal, recording each activity; Assist in destruction of waste as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)and Health Canada Cannabis regulation requirements;</p> <p>Ø Keep accurate documentation and records for all harvest activities and record in database (plant, processed, incentive and destruction weights);</p> <p>Ø Maintain storage areas and carry out general duties;</p> <p>Ø Mark and/or tag products with identifying information;</p> <p>Ø Maintain sanitation protocols and facility bio-security processes, including foot baths and other maintenance requirements; cross-functional work in sanitation department may be required from time to time;</p> <p>Ø Clean and sterilize all equipment and grow areas according to SOPs and Cannabis regulation requirements;</p> <p>Ø Assist with plant and production inventory counts as required;</p> <p>Ø May be required to work cross functionally across sites.</p> <p>Ø Other duties as assigned by management.</p> <p><b>WHAT YOU BRING: </b></p> <p>Ø Understanding of cultivation or gardening techniques;</p> <p>Ø Good understanding of documentation procedures;</p> <p>Ø Familiarity with safe operation and general maintenance standards of tools and equipment preferred;</p> <p>Ø Demonstrated proficiency with accurate documentation and record keeping;</p> <p>Ø Manual dexterity and motor coordination; good eye-hand coordination;</p> <p>Ø Exceptional organizational and time management skills;</p> <p>Ø Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;</p> <p>Ø Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict Standard Operating Procedures;</p> <p>Ø Able to stand/sit for prolonged periods of time; capable of climbing ladders; and</p> <p>Ø Ability to work in humid conditions.</p> <p>You Are a <b>RELIABLE </b>individual who consistently demonstrates a positive and professional attitude.</p> <p>You Are an <b>EFFICIENT WORKER</b> both independently and in team environments;</p> <p>You Are a <b>DETAIL ORIENTATED</b>, with proficiency in accurate documentation and record keeping.</p> <p><b>YOUR EXPERIENCE: </b></p> <p>Ø Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent;</p> <p>Ø 1-year experience in harvest or labor environment; Cannabis experience considered a strong asset;</p> <p>Ø Experience of Cannabis plant anatomy and strains strongly preferred, but not required;</p> <p>Ø WHMIS Certification/Training preferred;</p> <p>Ø Experience with SOP's preferred but not required;</p> <p>Ø Previous experience working with cannabis packaging or in production lines preferred, but not required; and</p> <p>Ø Previous experience in a highly regulated, commercial growing or production environment considered a strong asset.</p> <p><b>WHAT WE OFFER: </b></p> <p>Ø Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package</p> <p>Ø Rapid growth and advancement potential</p> <p>Ø Learning and development opportunities</p> <p>Ø Dynamic and innovative environment</p> <p>Ø Exceptional culture</p> <p><b><i>BZAM Management is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that values the strength of diversity within the workplace.
