THE JOB

The purchasing manager/buyer is the central point of contact through which all purchasing of product, supplies, and services is conducted throughout the facility. This position requires a highly-motivated, energetic individual who has thirst for negotiation, a desire to support others, and a passion for building relationships. Furthermore, this role requires strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate organizational stakeholders, and potential business partners alike. This individual must maintain an organized and disciplined approach, while showing creativity and flexibility needed to meet our teams' needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

• Act as subject matter expert on product, supplies, and services

• Be ready, willing, and able to communicate accurately and effectively to the leadership team regarding purchasing capabilities, parameters, limitations, etc

• Manage purchasing life cycle including ordering, receipt, and replenishment

Quality & Financial

• Process product and service orders in a timely and accurate manner

• Maintain corporate accounts with local and national suppliers

• Reconcile invoices for accuracy and financial reporting

• Conduct market analysis for potential suppliers

• Bench marking product and services costs

• Develop spend reports and other data analytics

• Track and communicating product back orders

• Other duties administrative and otherwise as required by the Company

People & Development

• Provide knowledgeable, speedy, friendly service to all customers and business partners both internally & externally

• Communicate regularly with all business partners and stakeholders to keep them apprised with accurate, timely information

• Continue education of marijuana strains, products, and the industry during downtime

• Continually assessing the status of the team, process, and facility developing action plans to train others to reduce costs and improve efficiency

Compliance

• Maintain 100% compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations in a highly regulated, constantly changing environment

• Stay up to date with all Cannabis laws and regulations

• File and organize information and documents

Most of the trusted brands you’re washing up with are made with detergents, chemicals and tallow, which is just another name for cow fat (umm… gross).
