This role is responsible for leading, supervising, and participating in the execution of sanitation, cultivation, and processing tasks throughout the facility pursuant to relevant Standard Operating Procedures.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>• Responsible for training Post-Harvest Technicians in all relevant Standard Operating Procedures related to the tasks assigned by the facility Director/Manager of Operations</p><p>• Ensuring your assigned team adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures related to the tasks, including but not limited to processing tasks, cultivation tasks, and/or sanitation tasks</p><p>• Ensure all aspects of the facility cleaning and sanitation program are performed daily, including but not limited to; sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, wiping surfaces, tool and equipment cleaning, laundry, and other duties as required</p><p>• Post-harvest tasks may include, but are not limited to harvesting, drying/curing, trimming, packaging, sanitation and equipment maintenance tasks</p><p>• Maintenance and monitoring of all post-harvest activities and facility systems</p><p>• Implement and ensure all post-harvest equipment preventative maintenance and calibration schedules are completed as required</p><p>• Support Post Harvest staff by providing daily/weekly scheduling of duties and guidance/direction to complete all required tasks</p><p>• Responsible for accurately completing all documentation and records for finalized tasks and submitting them to the facility Quality Assurance</p><p>• Responsible to promptly report any deviations from Standard Operating Procedures to the Facility Operations Director/Manager and Quality Assurance</p><p>• Control and track all Supply and Inventory Management. This would include drying, trimming, finished product, final saleable packaged product, and all bottling/labelling materials</p><p>• Data input/tracking with compliance software(s)</p><p>• Responsible to ensure safe work procedures are being followed and to report any hazards and or unsafe work conditions to immediate supervisor, or Health & Safety representative</p><p>• Attend and participate in facility and or Management meetings as required</p><p>• Preparation and oversight of harvest. Coordinate harvest schedules with Operations Director/Manager and Quality Assurance</p><p>• Management of time, attendance, and scheduling of post-harvest staff. Able to forecast staffing needs based on future harvests and the required support needed from the post-harvest team</p><p>• Complete all logs, harvest tracking, bi-weekly trim productivity reports, status reports, and batch records</p><p>• Responsible for oversight of product from harvest through to final packaging and transfer while ensuring product quality</p><p>• Responsible for the operating of the automated packaging line</p><p>• Ensure all mechanical maintenance is performed on the automated packaging line</p><p>• Responsible to report/address any mechanical concerns to the Facility Director/Manager of Operations in regard to the automated packaging line and or other equipment used in the post-harvest processes</p><p>• Ensure post-harvest production compliance</p><p>• Monitors and reports performance and product quality of the facility from batch to batch with Quality Assurance</p><p>• Oversee, coordinate, and track all activities related to Health Canada's requirements and assist the Director of Operations with employee training and performance appraisals</p><p>• Responsible for providing your own transportation to and from work</p><p>• Participation in facility audits or internal assessments as required</p><p>• Supports other tasks/duties as required</p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p><b>Formal Education or Equivalent:</b></p><p>• Horticultural diploma or degree</p><p>Years Of Experience</p><p>• 2 - 3 or more years in a leadership / supervisory role with a large team required</p><p>• 1 - 3 or more years of experience in operating an automated packaging/pre-rolling equipment will be considered an asset</p><p>Competencies, Specialized Skills Or Knowledge Unique To This Role</p><p>• Leadership skills and experience.</p><p>• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic computer skills.</p><p>• Basic math skills</p><p>• Good verbal and written communication skills.</p><p>• Ability to operate standard office equipment.</p><p>• Has the aptitude to provide proper health care, and to understand company SOP's.</p><p>• Proven experience in large scale production.</p><p>• GMP experience considered a strong asset - willingness to learn our quality management system requirements.</p><p>• Experience with automated packaging and rolling equipment an asset</p><p>Expected Hours Of Work</p><p>The Employee must be able to work standard hours of work 40 hours per week over five consecutive work days. During harvest, the employee is expected to assist the team complete the harvest and your hours will be staggered at that time.</p><p>Although the employee will have standard hours, the company does require you to be available seven (7) days per week including holidays, days, nights and weekends. The Employee must be able to work a minimum of eight (8) hours a shift and work rotating shifts Sunday through Saturday.</p><p>Working Conditions</p><p>The employee will be exposed to pollen, allergens, and non-carcinogenic pesticides, fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, artificial light, sun exposure, vibrations, and water.
