About The Role:

The Track and Trace Tech will work directly with the coordinators and supervisors in the Cultivation, Breeding and Nursery departments. Candidates will ensure proper tagging, tracking and logging of plants, plant tissue/waste, seed stock, and harvested cannabis material as maintained to the standards of CCA, OSHA, Cal-Cannabis, Bureau of Cannabis Control, CDFA or any other regulatory body. This includes general organization, safety, cleanliness, and the inventory of materials necessary for track and trace operations of Seed Breeding and Cultivation when related to tagging plants, plant tissue, seed stocks and harvested cannabis.

The Track and Trace Tech will work with the Cultivation, Breeding, and Nursery departments regarding overall planting, tagging and harvesting logistics in all aspects of Track and Trace. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring that the correct seedlings and clones are planted in their correct specified locations in the field according to CCA planting maps and accounted for within the state track and trace system. Additional responsibilities will include posting and maintaining current and updated cultivation licenses in accordance with State and County approved premises maps, laws, and regulations.

Working environment will include office, warehouse, and greenhouse/hoop house environments. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. What You'll Do

• Assist Cultivation, Breeding, and Nursery teams in maintaining traceability requirements throughout the life cycle of the plant from seed to harvest.

• Proactively collect pertinent information related to Track & Trace in regards to planting, tagging, harvesting, transferring and storage of cannabis goods.

• Collaborate and contribute to the development of Compliance reports.

• Assist in the plant tracking process with all applicable departments.

• Assist with general upkeep of all materials, including digital and electronic, related to the CCTT.

• Assist with the audit process and help identify any physical/digital inventory discrepancies.

• Maintain professionalism and live CCA's core values at all times.

• Perform all other duties as assigned or inherent to the position.

This includes identifying and separating fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower</li><li>Sit or stand for long periods of time while focusing on detail-oriented trimming. Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana they are trimming: adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality</li><li>Weighing and recording weights including green waste and using METRC as applicable</li><li>Track the metrics for the trimming process</li><li>Clean up all production areas and tools between strains and at the end of every shift</li><li>Understand and follow all rules and regulations for harvest and inventory management including wet weight measurements, dry weight measurements, and harvest batch requirements as set out in the State of Maryland regulations</li><li>Understand and follow all safety protocols, compliance and SOP’s. Help refine and develop SOPs through each stage of the post-harvest process. Update COO and Compliance as applicable on any necessary changes</li><li>Follow all state regulations, SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.</li><li>Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers</li></ul><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</b></p><ul><li>A year of experience in cannabis cultivation preferred, but not required</li><li>The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on agriculture, manufacturing, crop management or business, and/or 1-2 years of relevant work experience.</li><li>A background in quality control is a plus.</li><li>The ideal candidate is passionate about quality, strict about inventory organization and keen to monitor every stage of our diligent post-harvest process.</li><li>Key qualities this position requires includes some computer skills including data entry, technically inclined (able to operate post-harvest machinery), versatility, highly organized and detail oriented, problem solving and analysis skills, and adaptable.
