The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for planning and executing all of Caliva's cannabis processing operations to ensure premium quality and consistency of all flower processed. You will lead the Post-Harvest team by setting the standards, pushing performance to ensure the team is successful. Within the Cultivation Department, you are responsible for delivering on forecasted yields, maintaining quality conditions of the cannabis, and processing flower effectively through regular reporting and department updates.

What You'll Do

• Plan and execute all Post-Harvest operations, including but not limited to: harvest, hanging, take-down, bucking, moisture checks, curing, trimming, QA, sorting, and test batch assembly.

• Perform all METRC and track and trace operations for the PH segment of the cultivation pipeline.

• Collect and analyze relevant metrics for each PH process.

• Attend all scheduled meetings and send all departmental weekly reports.

• Maintain a steady state of material processing for Caliva's cultivation operation.

• Adhere to all state and local compliance regulations.

• Establish clear and stretching goals, communicate and delegate key responsibilities, and actively utilize all performance, development, and career tools to their full potential.

• Drive positive employee relations and deliver sustainable results through being a positive role model.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

What You Have

• 5 years of cannabis processing experience preferred.

• Excellent communications skills required.

• Proven leadership and people management experience.

• Familiarity with METRC and various track and trace platforms preferred.

• Must be reliable and dependable with good work ethic.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Working Environment

• This position will work in an indoor manufacturing facility with controlled temperatures; may be exposed to bright lighting, loud equipment, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts.

• This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers and filing cabinets.

• Must be able to travel to other office locations if required.

This role will also aid in the tracking and reporting of research trials within the cultivation group.</p><p><b>What You Will Do</b></p><p>• Develop cultivation reporting and analysis using Google Sheets, Tableau, and a SQL data warehouse.</p><p>• Analyzes production data to make recommendations on productivity and efficiency metrics.</p><p>• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of MERTC/Acumatica ERP data streams.</p><p>• Tracks and report key performance metrics for the cultivation department.</p><p>• Ensures harvested inventory is accurate and METRC compliant for transfer.</p><p>• Visits all cultivation sites to ensure data integrity and compliance with state regulations</p><p>• Promptly escalates any issues that arise and help perform root cause analysis.</p><p>• Implement corrections and corrective actions when issues arise.</p><p>• Actively looks and make suggestions for improvements.</p><p>• Other duties as assigned.</p><p>What We Are Looking For</p><p>• Minimum age of 21 years or older and pass a criminal background check.</p><p>• Bachelors/masters degree preferred.</p><p>• 2+ years experience in data analysis, management, and reporting</p><p>• Strong knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc), relational databases, SQL, google sheets/Excel, and ERP systems</p><p>• Knowledge of California Cannabis Track-and-Trace system (aka METRC) preferred</p><p>• Previous experience or education in indoor/outdoor agriculture preferred.</p><p>• Strong oral and written communication skills.</p><p>• Basic understanding of cannabis laws, rules and regulations set forth by the state of California</p><p>• Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment</p><p>• Ability to operate within a tightly controlled track and trace environment</p><p>• Must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the company and the cultivation department.</p><p>• Adhere to company mission statement, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.</p><p>• Must work well with others and ability to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure, methods and technique.</p><p>• Help create a proactive and positive environment; a positive attitude and self-motivation to help</p><p>• Shows self-motivation/innovation and the ability to work well with all members of their staff and the company, as well as with their direct supervisor.</p><p>• Ability to listen well and communicate effectively various audiences, especially with the direct supervisors and other co-workers.</p><p>• Physical Requirements / Work Environment</p><p>• Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. occasionally without assistance or 100 lbs. with assistance.</p><p>• Regularly required to perform carrying, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, some bending/crouching, stooping, stretching, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.</p><p>• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.</p><p>• Able to be in varying temperature and humidity environmental conditions</p><p>• Must not be allergic to or have a fear of insects.</p><p>• Work is performed in a fast-paced cannabis grow location.</p><p>Why Connected?</p><p>Connected is an exciting and innovative workplace with a highly engaged workforce brought together by a shared passion to be the best in the business.
