The Opportunity

A Technical Project Manager position within Canopy Growth's small but impactful Global Web Services team, helping to develop and maintain new features and coordinate versioned updates for e-commerce and brand websites that span a range of technologies such as WordPress, Shopify, and Adobe Experience Manager. This is a one-year contract to fulfill an opening created by parental leave. There is likely going to be an opportunity to convert to full-time towards the end of the contract term.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into website requirements; clearly define and size user stories and acceptance criteria

• Coordinate inter-departmental sprints and project plans

• Contribute to business process and technical architecture documentation

• Ensure that tasks are followed through and not left behind

• Groom the backlog and follow up on old tickets

• Rebalance sprint contents based on changing demands

• Remove team obstacles and facilitate discussion

• Ensure that timelines are met

• Assist with resource capacity planning

• Assist in investigation and resolution of support incidents

• Other duties as required

Experience

• Previous experience as a Scrum Master, Technical Project Manager, or Team Lead

• PMP, CAPM and/or Scrum Master certificate an asset

• Previous or current development experience an asset

• Ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time

• Experience working on global websites

• Solid understanding of SDLC in Waterfall and Agile methodologies and experience with using productivity and project management tools (e.g., Jira)

• Ability to absorb technical concepts and communicate them to non-technical stakeholders

• Knowledgeable of User Experience (UX) Design

• Familiar with wireframe and prototyping tools (e.g. InVision, Figma, Sketch, etc.)

• Experience with a POSIX-based system (Linux, OS X) as a working and deployment environment

Other Details

This is a 1-year contract role cover based out of Kanata, Toronto, or Montreal. Remote workers within reasonable range of a company office for occasional team and 1-1 meetings will also be considered.

The Administrative Lab Director is responsible for working with the Vice President of Laboratory Operations (VPLO) to prepare and maintain all documentation for ISO 17025 accreditation, BCC Licensing, and other compliance-related requirements to conduct laboratory business. The Administrative Lab Director will work with the VPLO to manage and maintain the implementation and use of Veda Scientific adopted support platforms including Qualtrax, QBench, METRC, ASANA, and the Veda Scientific Google Drive.</p><p>The Administrative Lab Director is additionally responsible for administering the basic management functions of personnel, planning, organizing, leading, and controlling to assist the VPLO in the successful and efficient attainment of company goals. The Administrative Lab Director will complement and work with the Technical Lab Director to develop, validate, and implement analytical test procedures.
