With our footprint quickly expanding and our services scaling, we are looking for a Human Resources Generalist/Coordinator to run a tight ship at our Sacramento location. You will own employee relations from onboarding to promotions or disciplinary actions, create processes and documentation (employee handbook/best practices) and help grow our team.

Role

You will work directly with our team of drivers, retail employees and operations folks. You'll ensure productivity, proper scheduling, compliance and proper communication. You will build and hone processes surrounding onboarding, disciplinary action, training and compliance and be the go-to for our Sacramento team.

This is an Onsite role in Sacramento.

The individual in this position provides expertise, leadership and direction to, and on behalf of, the Liquor Distribution Branch, with respect to the interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements, compliance with labour, employment and human rights laws, policies and procedures, workplace accommodation matters, and managing in a unionized environment.</p><p>The Labour Relations Advisor is responsible for providing guidance to management on matters relating to workplace conflict and employee misconduct. The role requires that they conduct workplace investigations, respond at Step 2 of the grievance process, prepare files for expedited arbitration, recommend actions to be taken on disciplinary matters, and draft disciplinary letters.</p><p>Labour Relations Advisors contribute options for resolution to potentially contentious employee relations matters that may be costly and/or precedent-setting in nature. They are also expected to brief the Employee Relations Specialists and the Director, Employee Relations &amp; Investigations with information relating to contract administration and management recommendations for contract amendments during collective bargaining.</p><p>This position may require the ability to travel overnight within the Province of British Columbia. An eligibility list for permanent or temporary future opportunities may be established.</p><p><b>Position Requirements: </b></p><p><b>Education and Experience: </b></p><p>Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline such as labour relations, employee relations, human resources, administrative law, or investigations.</p><p>And one (1) year of recent*, related progressive experience as a Labour Relations practitioner, with direct experience and knowledge relating to labour relations best practices and managing employees in a unionized work environment.</p><p>OR</p><p>An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
