This position might require exposure to and use of chemical compounds for application on crops which may be hazardous and cause injury if specific instructions regarding their mixture, application, use, and disposal/storage are not properly followed.</p><p>The working environment will include office, warehouse, shop, and greenhouse/hoop house environments. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required for this position.</p>Responsibilities:<p><b>What You'll Do:</b></p><ul><li>Participate in the planning, preparation, and execution of CCA activities with the VP of cultivation and Cultivation Manager to assess and complete projects related to all Central Coast Agricultural farming.</li><li>Inspect the plants regularly and identify horticultural tasks that need to be performed. Assist in the plan and budget for the initial build-out and staffing requirements with the Vice President of Agriculture, Crop Production Manager, Cultivation Director, and Packing House Manager. Manage fertigation and filtration control systems. Develop and update SOPs that align with the county, state, and federal regulations in regards to the cultivation of cannabis and workers’ safety.</li><li>Provide hands-on assistance with the completion of work tasks, when needed.</li><li>Evaluate cultivation needs and supplies inventory. Work with the purchasing department on inventory replenishment of BOM needs.</li><li>Monitor gardens and plant collections for pests and diseases. Report pest and disease problems to the IPM coordinator.</li><li>Create a harmonious and productive work environment. Addresses discipline issues and report them properly to senior staff and HR.
