DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and direct the planning and execution of daily packaging activity.
  • Comply with cannabis regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Ensure any changes in processes and procedures are properly implemented.
  • Direct and manage the operations to improve performance through continuous improvement methodology and problem analysis to reduce unscheduled downtime, process upsets, material quality losses.
  • Analyze, report and complete daily production reports, continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize data to facilitate the timely, accurate interpretation, and reporting of performance, quality, and safety data.
  • Oversee the sanitation process of equipment and facility.
  • Schedule, train, and mentor crew so that they can produce at maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, direction and corrective action.
  • Direct employees in proper safety procedures and identify/eliminate avoidable accidents.
  • Facilitate project work and assure successful project implementation and completion within the parameters set forth.
  • Serve as a training resource for operations crew regarding skills, safety, and plant process/flow.
  • Facilitating and creating strong engagement with the multiple teams in the implementation of project initiatives.
  • Support, participate in, and meet the Company overall Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures.
  • Monitor inventory quantities and update the stock counts weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a packaging environment.
  • 3+ years supervisory experience.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving/process improvement skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow-through to achieve results and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with an ability to build trust, provide direction, and execute with excellence.
  • Ability to facilitate change, foster innovation and results.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work with the team on the floor with daily task including freezer/ cold environment

Working with the Packaging Manager, the Packaging Lead will ensure packaging schedules are executed as well as maintaining the chain of integrity of our premium cannabis products from processing to patient.</p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p>• Arrive before the rest of the team</p><p>• Communicate with the manager to find out: What is the production plan, crew set up, tasks for the day</p><p>• Set up work stations (table, chairs, weight scale, product buckets near stations, packaging material)</p><p>• Display on white board the scheduling</p><p>• Supervise the room</p><p>• Manage system movements in LEAF LOGIX</p><p>• Assist with METRC collection</p><p>• Make sure processors stay on track and are working to their fullest potential</p><p>• Do not leave the room without letting the department manager know so they may supervise in your absence. Processors are not to be left alone without a supervisor present.</p><p>• Train new hired employees on different tasks</p><p>• Supervise cleanup at end of shift – making sure everything is clean, swept, and put away properly</p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><p>• Meticulous attention to detail and strong desire to produce a high-quality product</p><p>• Must be dependable, professional and confident.
