*Summary:
*Packagers are responsible for weighing, labeling and packaging of finished dried flower or concentrates in preparation for retail sale.

Responsibilities:

  • Weigh and portion dried flower or concentrates.
  • Package and seal portioned product into bags and jars.
  • Operate vacuum sealer/purge system machine.
  • Adhere labels and stickers to retail packaging.
  • Placing finished product into bags and boxes to prepare for delivery.
  • Frequent disinfecting of surfaces and cleaning of tools.
  • Meeting daily packaging quotas while ensuring quality finished product.
  • Ensure full compliance with all company policies, procedures and state laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to package for numerous hours on a daily basis. Job duties will be repetitive.
  • Ability to maintain productivity quotas.
  • Production, packing/shipping or kitchen prep. experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to work weekends as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, push, pull and reach frequently.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to do intricate work that requires full use of both hands.

Computer Proficiency:

  • Basic ability to navigate a software database.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word.

Typical Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a busy, windowless clean room environment.
  • Manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise level.
  • Employees will be exposed to normal chemicals found in a crop production facility (i.e. fertilizers and pesticides).
  • Employees will be working around dried and fresh plant material. Environment may not be ideal for individuals with respiratory issues or strong allergies.
  • Job duties will be repetitive.
