Introduction

 

Our VP of Sales will be an integral part of our senior leadership team. OENS has ambitious growth plans; our VP of Sales will oversee sales for our fastest-growing channels and will be responsible for ensuring we achieve our sales targets as we complete our national expansion (and beyond).

 

This is a full-time, GTA-based role within a rapidly growing start-up headquartered in Toronto. It will require some work on evenings and weekends and significant (up to 30%) time spent travelling. 🚀

 

Position Overview

 

Responsibilities Include:         

  • Lead sales efforts nationally for Greenhouse across grocery retail, foodservice and e-commerce channels
  • Set targets for the sales team members that align with the company’s strategic objectives
  • Work with channel heads to direct and lead the development of sales strategies
  • Hire, develop, motivate key sales talent
  • Mentor staff to constantly optimize the customer experience and help to develop best practices and processes
  • Develop infrastructure, systems, processes and digital tools to ensure the success of the sales team
  • Identify new sources of revenue and work cross-functionally to plan and implement new business initiatives
  • Monitor market trends to use with sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure sale and profitability of products
  • Develop and maintain key strategic partnerships with customers and distributors
  • Participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Develop and monitor sales budgets
  • Execute on and evolve our 4P strategies, balancing company objectives with what is required to work with key customer partners for achieving sales goals
  • Track and report on sales KPIs, looking for opportunities for improvements and optimization
  • Oversee development of international market expansion strategy
