Role

We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Analytics and Insights to join our team in New York City reporting to the VP of Data & Analytics.

You are a naturally curious person with inclination and skills for conducting evidence based inquiries. You are able to apply a consultative approach and break complex questions down using data. You enjoy mentoring and managing analysts. Reviewing analytical output and packaging it for a business audience comes naturally to you. You enjoy collaborating with business and product owners on projects to supply business insights and support decision making. You are unafraid to present data that contradicts anecdotal evidence. You understand the importance of providing timely and actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis for business questions and deliver findings through structured story-telling

• Work cross functionally with stakeholders to Identify business priorities and scope analytics projects

• Mentor analysts to deliver business insights and data stories

• Manage growth and career development of analysts on the team

• Conduct experiments to draw inferences and measure impact of platform features

• Ideate and define the right metrics to measure platform performance

• Proactively set and communicate project roadmaps and deliver timely insights

• Build a strong partnership with Data Engineering and BI teams to automate key analysis work

• Become an expert in methodology and rationale used to calculate key metrics and KPIs of the company

Qualifications

• Rich experience delivering insights based on which business and product actions were taken

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a business or product analytics role as analytics lead

• 2+ years of experience managing analysts

• Expert level skills SQL skills

• Proficient using R or Python for data analysis; experience using packages for statistical analysis on key projects

• Experience using dbt is a strong plus

• Strong GitHub habits and focus on building reproducible analysis

• Expertise designing and conducting analysis using statistical tests and drawing inferences

• Bachelor’s Degree or formal training in application of statistical techniques

• Proficient writing presentations with Google Slides
