Role and Responsibilities:

The Chemist is responsible for the preparation and execution of the extraction process. The Chemist will carry out the day to day tasks including extraction, refining, testing, quality assurance and maintenance. The Chemist is responsible for various duties within the laboratory while working compliantly within State and Federal regulatory frameworks.

Essential Functions:

- Ability to follow and adhere to strict regulatory protocols and stand operating procedures.

- Ensure proper handling of pre- and post- extraction materials.

- Process raw cannabis material into a crude concentrate.

- Perform wet chemistry techniques, filtration, distillation, crystallization and purging.

- Carry out cannabinoid concentrate refining process to completion.

- Ensure all processes include clear and well defined labeling to ensure traceability.

- Analyze and report on product test results.

- Assist with daily, weekly, monthly maintenance of the laboratory area and equipment.

- Keep equipment operational by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventative maintenance.

Quebec","category":"Retail","hash":"8564e0ce45b9a1df3a7730b91de4fc31","postingUrl":"https://www.kitjob.ca/job/28875084/cannabis-production-associate-quebec-aex-184-quebec-city/","timestamp":1655291773234},{"employmentType":"Full-time","description":"<div><p><b>GENERAL DUTIES:</b></p><p>• Prepare and complete monthly and annual reports.</p><p>• Ensure maintenance of regulatory licences, certifications, and permits.</p><p>• Ensure compliance to GMP or GPP, where appropriate.</p><p><b>• Provide QA/Compliance advice to other departments:</b></p><p>• Quality department support by reviewing SOPs, stability data, methodologies, and limits, etc.</p><p>• Supporting manufacturing by reviewing compliance of certain ingredients (e.g. solvents, additives, and preservatives used in manufacturing of products), and batch records.</p><p>• Product development by reviewing proposed formula to ensure compliance with regulations.</p><p>• Review and release batching records for shipment.</p><p>• Complete gap analysis and conduct assessments regarding regulatory changes under the Cannabis Regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.</p><p>• Working with regulatory affairs department on regulatory notifications and submissions for assigned projects including NNCPs, licence amendments, site changes and mandatory notifications.</p><p>• Support product launches through the review of applicable elements including formulation review, label approval, and packaging assessments.</p><p>• Provide technical support for new product development.</p><p>• Review controlled documents and assess compliance with applicable regulations and policies under existing framework.</p><p>• Assists/supports when interfacing for regulatory audits and inspections</p><p>• Assist in investigating all customer complaint process, recalls and adverse reactions</p><p><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><p>• B.S., in a related scientific field</p><p>• Must be able to fulfill AQAP or already possess QAP status.</p><p>• Good understanding of HACCP will be considered an asset.</p><p>• 1 -
