Global Procurement Manager

Overview

Responsible for the sourcing & negotiation of raw material and bulk for all new & existing products that will be/ are being manufactured by Capcium. Lead negotiations, relationships and evaluation of/ with suppliers in-line with the newly established Corporate Cost Reduction Program and recommend actions related to inventory management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify areas of volume leverage or supplier leverage that may not be visible to individual divisions.
  • Develop an accessible communication & purchasing database.
  • Monitor department performance to assure corporate targets are met.
  • Develop a relationship map for all key suppliers and communicate the

· Intricacies of these relationships to the Director of Logistics (in the absence of a Director of Procurement).

  • Reduce price, total cost of manufacturing, for supply chain.
  • Review market conditions worldwide with an overview on global API

· Purchase, development, and manufacturing.

  • Apply the purchasing policy of the supply chain group: negotiate and

· Monitor leveraged agreements to maximize returns, participate in the development of new suppliers and programs.

  • Foster and support regular technical meetings with suppliers and Capcium’s R&D group for problem solving and product development.
  • Widen sourcing by consulting several low-cost country suppliers by visits and scoring of suppliers, develop alternative means to achieve savings and newly established annual goals.
  • Evaluate purchase price variance (actual vs. Standard cost).
  • Establish tools for a purchasing information system, use internet and ERP, as well as customer contract escalator/de-escalator.
  • Develop & integrate hedging with global procurement.
  • Facilitate proactive, structured, and forward-looking approaches to
  • Sourcing commodities.
  • Place initial orders for new material and oversee transfer to buyer/planner.
  • Maintain cycle time to market for NPI product launches and produce all reports on time to immediate supervisor or committees.
  • Guide NPI team in the choice of components suppliers.
  • Travel within North America, Europe and Asia to plants and suppliers’ cities. Travel 25%.
  • Establish standard cost for new material and participate in annual review of the same.
  • Participate in special Capcium projects/meetings to attain various goals.
  • Utilize proper knowledge of GMPs to ensure accuracy and completeness of regulatory documents
  • Process change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers

  • Provide procurement and information support to the BD, Operations, Engineering, Regulatory and Research & Development departments.

Qualifications

· Education & training

o The ideal candidate for this position has a b.sc (engineering, technical, supply chain or business) degree or another pertinent degree.

o He/she possesses 5+ years purchasing experience in a computerized environment within a medium to large organization.

o Negotiation and contract implementation experience is required. Knowledge of CPIM, C.P.M, and A.P.P. is helpful.

· Experience

o Emphasis on purchasing, inventory control, production scheduling and warehousing.

o Specific knowledge of the worldwide marketplace for generic pharmaceutical products and services is necessary.

o He/she possesses 5+ years purchasing experience in a computerized environment.

o ERP system knowledge (rootstock preferred).

o In-depth knowledge of CGMP requirements (health Canada, FDA, EMA); knowledge of cannabis regulations is an asset.

· Skills, knowledge & abilities

o Facilitation & influencing skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, project planning and implementation skills, x-functional and x-business process development experience.

You will be responsible for representing ACOSTA and our principals through store coverage and executing objectives as set forth by your Manager to achieve superior in-store results.</p><p><b>The incumbent(s) in this position should exhibit the following ACOSTA values:</b></p><p>• People Minded-Must show dignity and respect to all people</p><p>• Integrity-Must exemplify the highest degree of ethical behavior</p><p>• Results Oriented-Must show passion, pride and commitment to succeed</p><p>• Trust-Must be honest, sincere and confident</p><p>• Teamwork-Must build trusting relationships</p><p>• Innovation-Must progress through a combination of creativity, common sense and vision</p><p>• Balance-Must maintain an optimistic attitude and keep perspective on what is important in life</p><p>Responsibilities:- As established by management, deliver retail sales merchandising goals across all principals in assigned territories.</p><p>• Meets client expectations regarding retail sales coverage and productivity in assigned territory.</p><p>• Assists supervisors on retail initiatives (new product introductions, contests, etc.) as assigned.</p><p>• Rotate stock, clean, and stock display and price products as appropriate per reset schematic.</p><p>• Perform such duties as checking date codes per ensuring adherence to reset plan o gram, replacing decals/re order tags or ads and placing point of purchase material.</p><p>• Maintains full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts per plan o gram.</p><p>• Executes merchandising events in assigned territory.</p><p>• May assist in the transportation and on site delivery of all materials, supplies and equipment necessary for the assigned reset.</p><p>• Performs special reset projects as assigned by Manager.</p><p>• Effectively and accurately use retail reporting technology.</p><p>• Follows Company policy in execution of reset teamwork.</p><p>• Reports observations to Unit manager regarding outdated product, unbalanced stock, out of stock situations and point of purchase requirements.</p><p>• Other duties as assigned.</p><p>Qualifications:- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.</p><p>• Must have a valid driver s license and must be able to drive a car for extended periods of time.</p><p>• Must be available for occasional weekend work (Demos and Food Shows). Must be able to work nights and holidays. (night and holiday work will be pre defined by position).</p><p>• Must be willing and able to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores).</p><p>• Must be able to effectively communicate with others.</p><p>• Must have good vision and be able to operate a telephone, hand truck, hammer, screwdriver, measuring tape, and case cutter.</p><p>• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. Must be able to speak, hear and sit for long periods of time, stoop and kneel on a daily basis.</p><p>• Must be able to use a pallet jack. Acosta will provide training</p><p>• Must be able to pass OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) Training. Acosta will provide training course.</p><p>• Consumer Electronics Knowledge Preferred. Dress code required. Acosta to provide shirt(s).</p><p>• Must be able to climb up and down a ladder.
