POST-HARVEST TEAM MEMBER

As part of the Post-Harvest team, you will be involved in supporting drying, and trimming activities, and performing bulk-packaging activities for Aurora Whistler. In this role, you will work closely with supervisors, management and other departments to ensure appropriate systems and SOPs are followed. You will always be expected to deliver high-quality work and conduct yourself in a professional manner.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure that all products are bulk-packaged and inventoried accurately and safely, in accordance to our SOPs

• Inspection of the flower being packaged to ensure the product quality is maintained

• Machine operations and set up (Air Compressed Induction Sealing Machine, Industrial Grinder)

• Calibrating, validating, and using a precision balance legal for trade

• Quality Assurance: following strict Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices

• Room preparation, cleaning, and stock management

• Maintaining personal and workspace sanitation following strict Health Canada Guidelines

• Record keeping of all the manufactured and stored products as required

• Assist with the inventory tracking of the products with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Assist in the routine inventory counts and spot checks as required

• Complete daily tasks in a timely manner to ensure schedule deadlines are met

• Assist with any other duties as required at WMMC to ensure the timely processing and delivery of finished Cannabis products

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; energetic team player

• Adhere to the company code of conduct and all applicable SOPs

• Demonstrate a continued level of development and improvement of skills/knowledge to help better complete your duties

• Self motivated and reliable

• Systematic and detail oriented with dedication to accuracy and quality

May perform equipment setup, operation, equipment adjustments and minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet all standards for safety, quality and efficiency.</p><p></p><p><b><br />JOB DUTIES:</b></p><ul><li>Plan, coordinate and execute logistical container movements to fulfill multiple work-cell requirements.</li><li>Utilize industry specific software to:<ul><li>Create assignments, pins, flags, and comments to coordinate container movement in relation to irrigation schedules, work cell productivity, and management goals.</li><li>Effectively monitor and execute container moves in order of priority.</li><li>Ensure the on-schedule completion of daily and weekly container movement goals.</li><li>Communicate with Plant Management regarding container movements, irrigation schedules, and container movement goals for work cells.</li></ul></li><li>Manually push containers in the greenhouse to keep movement on a weekly schedule.</li><li>Use HMI interfaces to troubleshoot and manual usage of machinery.</li><li>Direct and manually control the container movement in the greenhouse.</li><li>Setup, inspect, and clean equipment (manual and/or automatic) to ensure all safety protocols are met.</li><li>Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate to maintenance when needed.</li><li>Perform Preventative Maintenance for proper operation of related equipment.</li><li>Coordinate with growers to track relevant data as laid out in existing process document.</li><li>Assist Growing staff with updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures and other instructional reports that pertain to anyone working in the greenhouse.</li><li>Train and assist colleagues as needed.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p><ul><li>High School diploma/GED.
