JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director, Medical Business, the National Sales Manager, Medical Sales will be responsible for representing the Tilray Medical brands including Tilray, Aphria, Broken Coast and Symbios to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs cannabis clinics, and related medical stakeholders. As a National Sales Manager, you are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key customers and key opinion leaders, building national sales business plans and executing vs. plan, driving national sales performance by developing new business on an ongoing basis and leading a national sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify, develop and execute on new business opportunities to drive new patient acquisitions and revenue

• Lead sales team to build and manage strategic partnerships with cannabis clinics, HCPs, pharmacists, nurses, veterans’ groups and other key stakeholders to exceed targets

• Coach and develop direct reports to meet and exceed targets and grow professionally

• Develop and execute annual business planning including analysis of performance vs. key performance indicators, market analysis, sales forecasting, creation of territory strategy, healthcare practitioner (HCP) targeting plan, engagement strategies, and tactical implementation plan.

• Education of HCPs and cannabis clinics on Tilray Medical value proposition, product offerings, product launches, marketing materials, clinical data, regulatory updates, and other new information as it becomes available

• Attendance and participation at conferences and/or trade shows both regionally and nationally

• Participation and contribution to weekly sales team calls, national sales meetings, and other company driven initiatives

• Communication of sales performance to senior management on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis and as needed

• Uphold a commitment to compliance and operates with integrity within all business activities, adhering to all applicable industry and organization codes and conduct policies.

• Identify and takes action to meet personal and professional development needs, as well as those needs of any direct reports

• Ensure continuing professional growth to enhance credibility and earn preferred status with customers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or communications

• Minimum 5 years of experience within the healthcare field

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

• Experience managing a sales team

• Pharmaceutical sales experience considered an asset

• Medical cannabis experience considered an asset

• Comprehensive understanding of the Canadian cannabis and/or pharmaceutical industries

• Strong leadership skills and proven ability to work cross functionally

• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and comfort with ambiguity

• Proven track record of success in multiple roles

• Familiarity with CRM / call management software

• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving ability, and creative thinking

• Excellent project management and presentation skills

• Valid driver’s license

• Travel up to 30%
