We are looking for a talented and organized team player to work at a fast-paced cannabis laboratory startup. This individual will be eager and enthusiastic, and someone who wants to take on many responsibilities. This position requires someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard to drive product analysis forward.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· The Analytical Chemist is a key position responsible for performing sample preparation and contaminant screen analysis of cannabis and cannabis infused products via ICP-MS, GCMS and LCMS.

· Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs and regulatory bodies.

· Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in cannabis sample testing including sample preparation, data acquisition, results analysis, and test result reporting.

· Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and adherence to all company quality procedures

· Working knowledge of ISO 17025:2017, and AOAC standards, methods and practices are desired.

· 1-2 years cannabis experience preferred but not required.

· Foster good relations and communications with all members of the team and the network of laboratories; provide timely responses to queries and requests; independently work on multiple assignments simultaneously.

· Creative, analytical problem-solver who can cooperatively work effectively with the team.

· Effective communication skills (both verbal and written command) with excellent computer, typing, and organizational abilities.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, willingness to multi-task, and to prioritize and manage assignments.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field of study or minimum 2 years of experience using the following instrumentation types: ICP-MS, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS

· Ability to compile and review data packages for BCC regulatory sample release.

· Must be proficient with computer and mobile phone applications.

· Excellent organization, multitasking, and analytical data analysis skills.

· 2 years hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment.
