About the Company: Dosecann is a Canadian licensed dealer dedicated to developing Cannabis Solutions for the global cannabis industry. Dosecann has assembled a world-class team housed in a purpose-built, 55,000 sqft. GMP compliant facility that will be the hub for cannabis extraction, product innovation and formulation.
Overview: Based out of Charlottetown, PE and reporting to the Manager, Engineering Maintenance Technician will have a key hand in the completion of timely maintenance and minor repair of the Dosecann LD facility as well as the processing and production equipment in a manufacturing environment compliant with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
What can you expect to do:

  • Perform timely maintenance on processing, packaging, testing, and analytical equipment including but not limited to, conveyors, pumps, generators, compressors, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and plumbing troubleshooting/repair of equipment and building utilities.
  • Conduct routine technical inspections and audits.
  • Support the fault-finding, repair, and maintenance of complex programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) on controlled equipment.
  • Assist with equipment installations and commissioning as required.
  • Other general maintenance duties such as cleaning job areas when finished and keeping the commonly used workspaces clean and organized.
  • Source and retrieve parts for work in progress or planned work orders and advising on spare parts inventory.
  • Record to log, repair and/or replace as needed, defective machinery parts; analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot and perform corrective actions and minor repairs to prevent equipment or system failures.
  • Advise management of issues, delays and communicate expected completion of equipment maintenance to all stakeholders.
  • Participate on continuous improvement projects to increase reliability of the equipment and maintenance program.
  • Communicate with coworkers, shift supervisors and managers on emergency or planned jobs.
  • Complete all duties and tasks in compliance with Dosecann LD’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities as required.

What we are looking for :

  • Post-Secondary education in Industrial or Power Engineering or a closely related major.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment compliant with Current Good Practices (cGMP).
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings and principles.
