We are an extremely busy, yet laid-back office. Currently we represent hundreds of licensed cannabis businesses in the state of Oklahoma and our practice growth is continuing.

We have had amazing success since we began in 2019 and our only real problem is that we have more work than we can possibly do.

We currently have 4 attorneys (and a soon to be attorney) plus two paralegals, one executive assistant and a receptionist. Because we are a small crew, finding the right fit, both in skills and personality is important to us.
So here are the basics of what we’re looking for:

- A commercial civil litigation attorney (or two). We would love to have a senior associate to lead litigation and a younger associate to assist and learn from the senior. Because we are hiring for two positions, we are open to resumes from recent law school graduates or soon to be graduates (will need top 10% class rank; law review preferred). We are also looking for a more experienced commercial litigator. This person ideally should have had at least a couple years of lead attorney experience on commercial litigation matters.

- If you are a fantastic research and writer but not big on going to court, we’re open to that too.

- You are good with a little chaos. We are not your typical law firm. We dress casually, pitch in where needed, yell across the hall to coworkers as a quick means of communicating, don’t have set in stone policies (we like flexibility) for things such as billable hours, PTO, etc.

- You treat staff and attorneys alike. We are all on the same team, each performing vital functions. I hate to speak for others, but I feel safe in saying that everyone on our team truly feels like a trusted and valued member of the team.
- You don’t mind an appropriately placed f-bomb (and are known to toss a few out here and there)

- You like to work collaboratively, are not timid about sharing your opinion, but also willing to learn from others.

- You are willing to work hard. Yes we are a laid back office that puts a very high value on “work-life balance”, but we take our work seriously and expect everyone to pull their weight.

- You don’t care to have to “market” or bring in business. While we don’t prohibit anyone from bringing in business, it’s not a requirement. No need to join organizations, attend events, etc in the name of marketing. We’ve got that covered.

- You don’t want or need to be micromanaged. This applies to when you are in the office/working and your projects. We are generally not morning people so we don’t open the office until 9:30. If you are an early bird, feel free to come in when you like. Bottom line is we don’t care who is here first and who leaves last or what particular time those things occur. We care about the work getting done. As long as that’s happening, you do you. Same idea with your projects.

The folks in these litigation positions will work almost exclusively with Christina Vaughn and Jacki Loney

While we can work remotely, we generally work in the office (helps with the team/collaborative atmosphere) and are looking for folks who will want to see our bright, shining faces on most days.

If you’ve read this far and are interested, submit a cover letter, resume, and writing sample. If you are a new or soon to be law graduate, please also submit your law school transcript.
We are competitive with salary and benefits. The bottom line is if we think you are the cat’s pajamas, we will make it worth your while.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Benefits:

Health insurance

Paid time off

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Work Location:

One location

Work Remotely:

No

","company":{"name":"Viridian Legal Services, PLLC"},"location":{"country":"United States","address":"Tulsa, OK 74119","city":"Tulsa","stateProvince":"OK"},"frontendLink":"/job-posting/viridian-legal-services-pllc/commercial-litigation-and-or-research-and-amp-writing-associate/c7dd2a1f30a0548026e35ba492ec221b","title":"Commercial Litigation and/or Research & Writing Associate","hash":"c7dd2a1f30a0548026e35ba492ec221b","postingUrl":"https://www.indeed.com/job/commercial-litigation-andor-research-writing-associate-5f96bb6a3bba3236"},{"postedOn":"4 days ago","description":"

Corporate Counsel

Overview:

Weedmaps is a leading technology platform in the cannabis industry.
