SALES SHIFT LEAD
Welcome each client into Harborside creating an environment where clients feel truly cared for, valued, and respected. Conduct new client orientation and registration. Act as a resource to assist clients with questions, concerns, special needs, and activism activities. Assist each client with outstanding service at the point of sale. Assess the needs of each client, provide appropriate product knowledge, and accurately record all transactions in the POS. Maintaining an efficient and upbeat work pace. Provide exceptional service in all interactions. Understand, embrace, and embody the mission of Harborside.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: (This may not include all of the duties assigned.)

  • Perform opening and closing duties.
  • Provide exceptional service and product knowledge.
  • Record transactions accurately in the POS, use appropriate login, and ensure the accuracy of the assigned cash drawer.
  • Escalate customer issues to the Sales Manager when appropriate.
  • Perform select discount authorizations in the absence of a Manager.
  • Demonstrate leadership and be a role model.
  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude, and treat customers/co-workers with respect and sensitivity.
  • Listen and respond to customer and coworker needs/requests appropriately and timely.
  • Maintain neatness, cleanliness, and organization of workstation and immediate area.
  • Maintains discretionary practices with all vendors, voucher, and contractor information; tactful with all sensitive business information.
  • Follow and integrate HARBORSIDE policies and procedures into all on-the-job interactions, tasks, and behaviors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p><p></p><p><b><br />Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Instructing Cultivation Agents on cultivation operation procedures;</li><li>Instructing cultivation agents to apply organic pesticides with guidance from cultivation consultants;</li><li>Maintaining inventory of all cultivation supplies and order such supplies;</li><li>Coordinating with Director of Cultivation regarding harvest schedules based on dispensary sales trends, and supply needs;</li><li>Programming and monitor Environmental Control System;</li><li>Maintaining a database of environmental controls and conditions;</li><li>Adjusting Environmental Control System for optimum efficiency of operation; and</li><li>Providing pesticide recommendations and ensure Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program is sufficient.</li><li>Implementing policies and procedures for the Cultivation facility</li><li>Reviewing Communication Binder for current information and updates.</li><li>Executing and enforcing compliance of all local and state regulations.</li><li>Maintaining accountability of all team members, in relation to specific job descriptions.</li><li>Upholding all company policies and procedures.</li><li>Ensuring that all maintenance is current, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and technology</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Training &amp; Development</b></p><ul><li>Recruiting, interviewing and hiring cultivation team agents.</li><li>Making sure that all team members are current on product knowledge and can train their teams.</li><li>Attending monthly management team meetings.</li><li>Attend quarterly team meetings.</li></ul><p><br /> </p><p><b>Driving Business/Sales</b></p><ul><li>Ensuring that cultivation is producing sufficient flowers to meet the needs of MIPs and extractions.</li><li>Producing quality product free of pests and contaminants.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Company Culture</b></p><ul><li>Being a company brand ambassador and training team members to represent the brand appropriately.</li><li>Following and implementing the company’s core values, including respect, diversity, sustainability, research and service.</li><li>Ensuring that all team members are adhering to the company’s cultural principles.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Controlling &amp; Preventing Loss</b></p><ul><li>Having all team members train with Director of Security for prevention of diversion of cash and/or product.</li><li>Conducting random audits of cash and/or product, for each department, using audit checklist.</li><li>Ensuring that all departments are conducting self-compliance audit monthly.</li><li>Reviewing security procedures and protocols with management team, for each department.</li><li>Reviewing incident reporting, with management team.</li><li>Overseeing monthly product inventory, for each department.</li><li>Reviewing Loss Prevention (LP) procedures with managers on a quarterly basis.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications and Education</p><ul><li>Must be 21 years old.</li><li>3-5 years experience in a supervisory position, managing a diverse team.</li><li>Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.</li><li>Experience in retail, hospitality or patient services, preferred.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Basic math skills.</li><li>Being able to work with a team.</li><li>Having organizational skills.</li><li>Having decision making skills.</li><li>Being analytical.</li><li>Being detail oriented.</li><li>Being proactive.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Physical and Environmental Requirements</p><ul><li>Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts;</li><li>Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays;</li><li>Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds;</li><li>Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a work day;</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time;</li><li>Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs;</li><li>Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:</li><li>General office environment;</li><li>Extended computer usage;</li><li>Extended phone usage including teleconferences, and</li><li>Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.</li></ul><p>MMI encourages applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
