Key Responsibilities

• PRODUCT PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT AND INNOVATION: Assess sales and consumer trends to inform commercial recommendations on product portfolio optimizations, rationalization, and new product innovation recommendations.

• Responsible for contributing to new product definition (including pricing) and development of GTM commercial launch plans and assets for patients/consumers.

• MARKET AND CONSUMER TRENDS: Maintain a thorough knowledge of cannabis industry, brand competitive set, category trends and consumer segments.

• Leverages and collects consumer and patient data to analyze and summarize insights and trends. Thought leader internally on consumer motivations and what drives them to purchase and engage with our brands and products.

• GLOBAL INTEGRATION: Lead development of marketing materials to support global product launches and ongoing engagement across international markets.

• Contribute to the global strategy for Beacon Medical branded products including portfolio, content development, promotion, and partnerships.

• Work closely with Canadian colleagues and Global VIVO market leaders (Australia & EU) to ensure each region’s stakeholder engagement and marketing strategy aligns with corporate vision.

• MARKETING STRATEGY AND ACTIVATION: Collaborate in the creation of marketing plans, to support forecasted sales volumes (by region and channel) with data supported strategy and tactical execution plans laddering up to overall VIVO Commercial strategy.

• Maintain and support the growth of our brands by identifying, executing, and optimizing quarterly channels plans, partnership, acquisition, and outreach tactics.

• Propose ongoing strategic sales and marketing promotions, including pricing evaluations and recommendations.

• Closely collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience colleagues to develop growth strategies and a roadmap for acquisition, retention, and reactivation of consumers/patients with a strong focus on ROI.

• DIGITAL & SOCIAL STRATEGY: Contribute to digital and social strategy and execution for the Canna Farms medical ecommerce marketplace, email marketing, brand social channels, brand websites, digital trade assets, digital acquisition, and referral programs.

• Take a data-driven approach to measure efficacy of digital channels to grow and optimize them effectively

• CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION: Communicate proactively with Sales, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, Product Development to facilitate product commercialization of both new and existing products.

• RELATIONSHIP BUILDING AND LEVERAGING: Build relationships with strategic partners, businesses and associations that can influence growth and preference for VIVO brands. Support sales in their relationships with key retailers, clinics, and physicians.

• BUDGET OWNERSHIP: Meet marketing financial objectives; collaborate on annual budget creation; execute to plan and daily management of expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions as needed.

• MARKETING LEADERSHIP & AGENCY MANAGEMENT: Manage external partner agencies, consultants, freelancers, and other suppliers, who provide marketing, strategy, or digital services to VIVO, ensuring value for money and inspiring them to create outstanding execution of marketing programs to drive results through detailed KPIs.

• PROBLEM SOLVING: Demonstrate an ongoing ability to determine specific simplified actions to keep solving issues & take advantage of opportunities – works well in a team environment

• CANNABIS REGULATIONS AND COMPLIANCE: Become familiar on Cannabis Regulations in Canada and how products are produced, distributed, and sold in Canada, additionally ensure a clear understanding of the regulatory environment and framework and work closely with the Quality Assurance and Legal departments to ensure full compliance

Qualifications and Skills

Academic/Educational Requirements

• Bachelor or Master’s degree/diploma in business administration, marketing, or relevant field

• 5+ years of experience in marketing and brand management; new product launch experience required

• Several years of experience and success in digital project ownership and execution required

• 2+ years of experience in cannabis industry as asset (pharmaceutical, beverage-alcohol, CPG, cosmetics, food, health, and beauty industries also considered)

Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge

• Project management and product management – prior commercial launch experience required

• High attention to detail and accountability, with track-record of delivering high quality work on-time and on-budget

We are looking for a Laboratory Manager to join our team.</p><p>JOB SUMMARY:  The California Laboratory Manager is a key collaborative member that provides leadership and supports Green Leaf Labs philosophy and organizational goals. This position requires strong technical, organizational and communication skills. We are looking for an experienced lab manager with proven expertise in operating and maintaining analytical chemistry test instruments – LC-QQQ, GC-QQQ, GC-MS, ICP-MS. Microbial PCR experience a plus.</p><p>This position is responsible for daily operations in the laboratory department including all laboratory personnel; scientific methods performed; instrument operation, calibration, and maintenance; data management; validation and reporting; maintaining Department of Cannabis Control testing facility licensing requirements; proficiency testing; and ISO 17025 accreditation. This position will report directly to the California General Manager.</p><p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><p>• Responsible for daily maintenance, calibration and operations of instrumentation in the laboratory including instrumentation software.</p><p>• Manages and performs all laboratory testing.</p><p>• Manages laboratory accreditations and licensing requirements.</p><p>• Maintains all required records for operations, licensing, and accreditations.</p><p>• Develops and ensures compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures and test methods.</p><p>• Supervises laboratory staff schedules and trains laboratory technicians.</p><p>• Ensures compliance with instrumentation maintenance including warranties.</p><p>• Oversee the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS-Promium Element) and general records management.</p><p>• Ensure company standards for quality and turn-around time for testing services.</p><p>• Addresses issues and makes timely, responsible, transparent, and sound decisions.</p><p>• Involve others in formulating solutions to issues by gathering relevant information and conducting appropriate analyses, which includes responsibility for outcomes and/or impact of decisions.</p><p>• Prepare and/or review regulatory, managerial, and operational reports.</p><p>• Maintain strict confidentiality in all appropriate situations.</p><p>• Monitor expenditures and receivables to meet Company financial goals.</p><p>• Work with General Manager to develop and train a highly skilled workforce based on organizational goals, budget considerations, and staffing needs.</p><p>• Work with General Manager to ensure that employees are appropriately recruited, including hiring, daily management, discipline, promotions, and training.</p><p>• Work with General Manager to create and maintain annual work plans, monitor employee performance, complete periodic evaluations, counsel, and discipline as necessary in accordance with guidelines.</p><p>• Oversee and/or prepare employee schedules, including leave, to ensure adequate staffing to effectively handle daily and emergency response activities.</p><p>• Provide appropriate laboratory resources and support to ensure that the workforce can meet current and future business needs.</p><p>• Coordinate with Account Executive team to proactively assess and resolve client complaints and inquiries.</p><p>• Attending and leading Company required team meetings.</p><p>• Compile and prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions as requested by executive management.</p><p>• Collaborate with the General Manager in the management of equipment and supply inventory, including recommending purchases and ensuring budgetary constraints are followed.</p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p><p>• A bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university, plus at least 4 years of full-time practical experience.</p><p>• Technical competence in analytical chemistry and/or microbiology.</p><p>• HPLC, GC, MS, and ICP experience preferred.</p><p>• Microbiological experience (plating, E. coli, salmonella) preferred.</p><p>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing.</p><p>• Detail-oriented.</p><p>• Strong analytical ability.</p><p>• Experience in laboratory information management systems, computer database, and Microsoft Office applications.</p><p>• Ability to provide excellent customer service, manage others, and collaborate with remote lab personnel.</p><p>• Ability to work independently under remote supervision.</p><p>• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing work environment.</p><p>• Ability to be flexible and change as business grows and changes.</p><p>• Ability to work collaboratively as a team.</p><p>• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.</p><p>• experience.</p><p>• Demonstrated experience in QC programs, data validation, accreditation.</p><p>• Computer skills and computer software comfort and experience are essential.</p><p>JOB TYPE:
