As a Senior Graphic Designer at Marijuana Packaging Co, you will be doing much more than creating graphics and packaging designs for the fast-growing cannabis space. You will work closely with other designers to improve the Design Department’s infrastructure and elevate our brand. More specifically, you will get to:

§ Work in a fast-paced design department with multiple types of graphic and packaging projects

Senior Graphic Designer will apply art, design, and copy layout skills to create visually engaging concepts such as logos, packaging, promotional and branding materials, communication media, and other print and digital materials.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Art Director, Project Managers, clients, and/or other project participants.
  • Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way.
  • Maintains a high level of attention to detail in proofing and file preparation stages.
  • Manages time, projects, and tasks efficiently while designing and producing artwork across multiple projects.
  • Prepares drafts of design work and communicates effectively to Project Managers for client review.
  • Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process from the Art Director, client, and Project Managers.
  • Follows standard operating procedures and works to improve their efficacy.
  • Communicates ideas well and is comfortable with open discussions on improvements to the department.
  • Designs and produces internal collateral such as dielines, templates, sell sheets, decks, customization guides, and 2D/3D mockups.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite or other similar design software.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently on an assignment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to track, manage, and communicate project status on Wrike project management software.

Education and Experience:

  • Major or significant coursework in Art, Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.
  • At least three years of related work experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry is a major plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
